introduction Starship with three of their trainees that they've sent to these survival shows has made it to the actual debuting group and met with popularity and fame. Giving chances again because of this show they are sending a larger group of trainees. This time around instead of sending familiar faces, they send new faces who are ready to step into the real world and showcase their skills on live television. Some are shocked that there are some trainees who have been training for a long time and are on the older side and wondered what's up with their stories. While the others are previous trainees of other companies and are thrilled that they actually haven't disappeared altogether. Anyways, to avoid having a name similar to Cosmic Girls, even though they've been using this name longer before even WJSN was established. COMET GIRLS were given the name STARDUST instead to keep it within the Starship Planet like name and what not. It's a time to shine and these eleven trainees are ready to showcase their skills whether older, longer trainee, and a bit different than before, there's nothing that's going to stop them. Because they got charismatic qualities and going to make everyone feel why they're magical.
background It was originally a trio with Taryn, Serena, and Melanie as COMET GIRLS. But it was more like a 'come and go' sort of group as they were the first experimental girl group. More girls entered the company later on and they were more set and focused to debut and so were trained separately, but still there was no bad feelings between them. Later on as the other eight girls joined CG/SD, it sort of became the go to group for those that were wanting to be a trainee, yet not wanting to debut as of yet until they were ready. Nozomi and Franziska joined the trio in 2012. Reika and Seol came some time in 2014. Followed by Tubtim in 2015. Haneul, Juliette, and Chaewon became a part of their team around 2016. Anyways, these eleven ladies could have potentionally been a member of either SISTAR or Cosmic Girls or even participated in Produce 101 or Produce 48 to be a member of I.O.I or IZ*ZONE, but they weren't ready or the time wasn't right for them. It could have been a lot of things, but now the can see The Next Generation within themselves.
