Personality 

— Alice is the kind of person that usually behaves one way or another depending on how close or how well she knows someone. Out of politeness she's friendly and would talk to someone to just break the ice even though to her it may seem out of place and awkward. This leads to Alice being easy-going as she would rather be relax and calm instead of uncomfortable and hostile in the environment. Luckily Alice is able to adapt in her surrounding without totally feeling like an oddball, although she doesn't mind being a wallflower at times as well. Alice also has a great deal of having empathy for someone or something and tries to perceive many things from different perspective and not be closed-minded often. Alice can be a playful person if she has created a bond with them where their relationship can be at that level. Sometimes it takes a while only because she doesn't trust so easily and usually treads the water before diving in completely. Sometimes it just depends on the situation and Alice wants to assess it.

— It's how Alice is realistic. Sure she's quite imaginative and open-minded, but Alice reminds herself that there are times when she has to think of real life and those around her. It's why she's reserve with people and likes to see and know how they are before becoming closer. Alice dislikes it when people judge others as many people have misjudged her lots of time, but than again Alice knows it's only human nature to do so. So Alice has to remind herself to not be so biased and try to be fair and see the gray within the black and white. Life is never that easy and Alice knows that for sure although the struggles are never that easy to deal with, but that what makes life refreshing and the rewards favorable. Anyways, Alice prefers to compromise instead of choosing or doing one over the other, unless it's sports or something easy since most things in life can be judge fairly without complicating the matters further.

— Even if Alice can remind herself all of the positive things in life, she knows that the negativity has to come and go as well. Alice can be impulsive and say and do things that may make her regret it afterwards and may also seem insensitive and like a jerk, too. This can make her become stubborn if she's a firm believer of something or doesn't want change as Alice has been comfortable with how things have been. It could also mean the changes of doing one thing one way and now having to do it another way. Sometimes it would make her clumsy, not because Alice has two left feet or is accidental prone per se, but it's because she's unfamiliar and unskilled with it all. Which leads to Alice being absentminded at times as Alice either forgets and gets lost in the focus or is mentally tired and wants something to distract herself from it all. Somehow stuff life this can make Alice passive-aggressive without her realizing it. Even if she's frustrated or angry, she'll keep her composure in a calm-like way, but her voice and words will betray her as they'll come out differently then Alice has initially wanted it to and may sound different to the receiver.

— All in all, Alice usually says that she's the best example of the saying, 'don't judge a book by its cover'. Alice knows that people will already think of her one way or another not because they know her, but because they know of her or of how she portrays herself. Alice won't go out of her way to change someone's mind of what they think of her, but she will give them the opportunity to get to know her better if they wish, and to find out what kind of bond to form with Alice as well. So like before, Alice will act and behave one way or another depending on the level of trust, one on one connection, different forms of bonding, and the personal closeness she feels with someone on those many levels. For Alice, once you step into her life and want to be a part of it, she's forever got your back and will be there for you to her best ability. She doesn't forget those who have done her good or wrong, and pays it back ten fold except the evil part. those who done her wrong, Alice lets karma get back at them for that.

 

Background 

1988. Alice Zhang was born in Villecresnes, Val-de-Marne, France on the eleventh of February in 1988, but doesn't know a of French  except a few words here and there, but it's nonexistent. She is half-Chinese from her father and is half-Korean from her mother although her mother is a Zainichi Korean of second generation being born Korean, but living and being raised in Japan. This makes Alice a third generation Zainichi Korean.

 

1992. Alice was four when her family moved to the United States due to her father's job and learned English while she forgot all the French she knew. She grew up in Koreatown of Los Angeles, California where she actually picked up on the Korean language. Her parents made sure she didn't forget Chinese and Japanese either.

 

2006. Alice turned eighteen and she became a naturalized citizen of the U.S. Also the year she got into K-Pop due to her friend, Savannah, who was always a K-Pop fan and trying to get Alice into it, but she wasn't in to it until TVXQ made her get into it. She also learned more Korean from listening to the music and was excited to know that TVXQ also sang in Japanese which made it impossible to not pay attention to K-Pop. Also the year she took up dance lessons to learn the choreographies.

 

2010. Alice participated in the SOOMPI Ulzzang contest in late 2010 and won which was also sponsored by SidusHQ C.A.S.T. [Casting Audition and Star Training] It was how she was able to go to South Korea to pursue a career in the K-Pop entertainment business thanks to her brother's persuading their parents for her to go for it. Although his other intention was connection to the other stars that she would meet along the way and what not. She became an instant trainee for SidusHQ soon after in early 2011.

 

2014. Alice left SidusHQ in early-2014 on good terms as her contract from the ulzzang contest came to an end as it was only a two year type of thing and she didn't want to renew to stay on with the company. So the SidusHQ C.A.S.T. helped her out again to find another entertainment to train under as Alice wanted to pursue the career path even though at first she wasn't really into it. Alice later decided to audition for Moon Entertainment and been a trainee in mid-2014.

They're somewhat close. Her father has always been busy throughout her life, but he always gave her advice about life and to always do good and not bother anyone. Respect those that respect you, and even if the other doesn't show respect, still respect them but don't go out of your way to do anything more than that. Some times they're awkwar as her father forgets how old she is and still thinks she's in high school or something.

While her father wasn't always around, her mother was and Alice does love her mother, she just wishes that her mother would worry less about her and see that she has grown up and can take care of herself majority of the time. Remembers everything about her and it can be pretty embarrassing when she brings up childhood stories about Alice and she groans and cringes every time.

They're super close. Alice sometimes likes Philip and sometimes she just wanna bury him six feet under. Then again, without her brother, she wouldn't have learned to be tough in sports, looking out for herself, and having someone to always be there for her despite everything that has happened in life. To her, Alice owes her thanks and gratitude to Philip for being the one to convince her parents to pursue this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Also, Alice believes her brother to have a sister complex as he's protective of her yet teases her the most. He doesn't deny nor confirm this though.

They're super close. Alice has always seen Savannah like family and now as a true blood-related sister. They grew up together through thick and thin. Plus, it was always nice to get away from her brother and talk with Savannah about like and just do girls things every now and then when they were younger. Also, Savannah always had a thing for Philip growing up and the two got together when Alice was away. Anyways, Alice is thrill to have Savannah as family, it just that she gets gang up by the two when Savannah chooses her brother's side instead of hers.

They're close. At first they weren't that close just labelmates under the same company, but over time Jay and Alice got close as they were both English speakers and from the states. Plus, with Alice being one of his female lead in a music video, it had to call for some interactions before and after the filming and such. Anyways, they don't keep in touch all the time, but every now and then and Jay reminds Alice of her brother a lot, so they have a cute and teasing banter with one another, but in a more flirting kind of way.

Trainee life 

Alice's trainee life was quite hard and different for her, especially not even being fluent in Korean at the time. She just knew conversational Korean because of the people in Koreatown and the K-Pop songs. Anyways, she had a different training schedule than she was ever accustomed to which was totally different from sports and wasn't sure if she would make it. Alice was getting trained on how to memorize to sing, dance, even rap with many techniques, act, model, the 101 course on How to Be a K-Pop Idol, and such. Alice didn't realize there was so much more to being that of a K-pop idol life and she wasn't sure if she wanted to continue it as she thought it would be a breeze and she would just get acting and modeling tips. Alice just thought that her appearance would be enough and she would just get on by with that since she did win a contest base upon her face. Alice was thinking of quitting of debuting to be a K-Pop artiste entertainer and thought of just being an actual regular person who appreciated others talents to entertain instead. Then again, she remembered that this was the opportunity she was given and kept at it as it was something different from whatever she has known and she couldn't just walk away from it so easily when others again wanted this as well.
