[STORY HELP] How would I find out that someone I love is hurt if they and nobody they know can tell me?

Don't worry, I'm not worried about someone ... well, no more than usual.  Basically, I want to know how I (or you) could find out that someone I (or you) know is in trouble if they can't tell you or nobody they know can tell you.  Say, my girlfriend was kidnapped.  My girlfriend is coming from South Korea and was kidnapped as she came to visit me.  Now, we wouldn't know she was kidnapped.  Her family might know if she hasn't called them when she landed, but not really that she has been kidnapped.  Her friends the same.  But I know that she has been kidnapped and I know where she is, and I am in no way responsible for it.

How do I know that though?  Like, literally, how would I know that?  How could I know that?  And if someone from inside told me, how would they know to find me?  How would they know that I should be told?

For anyone wondering, I read a thing online about ... something that might go into a story that someone offered to me.  She gave me an idea, I read something that could be attached to it, and now I need to get my characters there.  Her, I can do - she gets kidnapped.  But me?  How do I get there and get myself in a position where I can get her out?  How do I find out that she's there in the first place?  That bit is a huge hole for me and I'm really struggling to fill it ...

Say she called you from some transit airport (or wherever she gets grabbed from) she says something to you like.... I'm scared. I think someone is stalking me. Then the line goes dead. Or maybe she hit her speed dial when she gets grabbed and you hear sounds of a scuffle, voices etc, until they toss her phone.

Have u ever watched Prison Break? If so then u know how Michael n Sarah talk. Y don't u do the same thing? Like she tells the ppl that kidnapped her that she has someone here that's gonna be worried n they reach out to u asking for a certain amount of money n u won't budge doing a thing unless u talk to her n u two speak in a coded way that only u two is able to understand n u find out where she is based on the information u figured out from her

Suggestion : You are worried about her so you look on your phone her track device and she happened to be in an old and abandonned building. You assume she had been kidnapped. What do you think ? :3

The most logical way is that the kidnapper contacts you.
Either, as banbangme, suggested, the girl is actually kidnapped because of you - the kidnapper wants to hurt you/get something from you or so on, depending on the plot.
Tracking her texts/calls/chats and finding out her relationship with you is another way for the kidnapper to find you.
But the easiest way to settle it would be to know why she is kidnapped in the first place. Because there must be a reason? Right?
