Love Is Like A Snowflake
Description
Love is like a snowflake.
It's beautiful and I love seeing it.
But when I hold out my hand to catch it,
it always, always melts.
Song Ma Ra is a young woman who has never been lucky when it comes to love. She's still trying to get over her 3-year relationship with her boyfriend that ended in one quick phone call the night she thought he would finally propose to her. Mara thought that he would give her a happily ever after, but all he left was a deep scar. It was this incredible heartache that was slowly killing her, but she knew that she had to live her life and move on.
Kris Wu is the heir to his grandfather's company. He was trained by his father to focus only on expanding the family business and gaining more wealth. He didn't believe in the word "love" and was absolutely sure that he wouldn't fall in love with anyone. He never dated anyone before since he was too focused on his work. He's the kind of person that could be in an arranged marriage and wouldn't care, as long as it meant that he would become wealthier.
Foreword
What is love?
"It doesn't exist."
"I don't have time for it."
"It's this great feeling that I wish I could feel again."
"Love? Simple. It's her."

MARA
I want to forget. I want to forget about him. I want to forget everything that he said. Everything that he told me was a lie. He said he loved me. He said that he cared for me. He said he wanted to marry me. I could not believe that I trusted every single word that came out of his mouth. All this pain that he left me, I want it to go away. It hurts so bad. Apparently, those three years that we've been together was nothing for him. I hate him. I hate him so much. I don't want to see him ever again.
The words that he said that night are repeating over and over in my head like a broken record.
Mara-ya, let's break up.
The truth is, I found someone else.
Those three years that we've been together has been fun, but...
it ends here.
How can he be so heartless? I love him so much! I tried so hard to be the one that is fit to be called his girlfriend. All the time and effort that I spent on him were wasted after he said those four words.
Mara-ya, let's break up.
I want all of this pain to end.
KRIS
"Arranged marriage?"
"Yes, son. The two of us will meet them soon to talk about the marriage."
"And business." I continued.
"Yes. And business."
"No! Kris is not going to be in an arranged marriage." My grandfather appeared out of nowhere.
"Dad, why not? Kris is old enough and it's for the company's sake." My dad argued.
"If he's gonna be married, he's gonna marry someone he loves. Unlike you, who married for money." Grandfather retorted. "Just try to get my grandson into an arranged marriage and I won't leave a single penny for you when I die, Harold Wu." He threatened.
