A Chance Arises
Our Love ContinuesI landed in Korea several hours later. I grabbed my luggage from baggage claim and caught a taxi to the apartment that I had bought a week ago. I paid the driver and lugged everything up the satircase to the third floor, where my apartment was located. Digging out my keys, I found the right one and slid it into the lock and turned, opening the door and the musty smell hit me right away.
I walked in, set my luggage in the bedroom, and opened some windows to air out the place. Then I started unpacking. Thankfully, all the things I needed I already ordered last week when I bought the place and they had already been shipped. I hummed as I worked, getting a good portion of my unpacking done by late afternoon. A knock at the door made me stop. I answered it and a kind elderly woman smiled back at me.
"Oh, hello. May I help you with anything?" I asked politely.
"I just came by to introduce myself. I'm Mrs. Choi, your landlady." she said as her introduction.
I invited her in and she told me what was and wasn't allowed in the apartment. After the important stuff was out of the way, the topics turned lighter and I found I enjoyed her company greatly. Then she let slip that her granddaughter was the one tied up in all of the Kim Hyun Joong stuff.
"I know Kim Hyun Joong...he stayed with my family several years ago for a homestay as part of a variety show." I explained, avoiding her eyes.
"You're the Florianna from that show?" she asked and I nodded, surprised that people still remembered a show that was aired eight years ago.
"I know this is going to sound really blunt and rude of me, but do you have his address? I need to speak to him." I asked.
Mrs. Choi nodded and wrote down the address on a notepad I had lying on the table. I thanked her and she left shortly afterwards. I looked at the slip of paper in my hands.
Time to see them again I guess...
Author's note: Kim Hyun Joong will be in the next chapter. Please don't bash it because of what Florianna is going to do and say. I know its still a sensitive topic after a year.
