"Why do you want me to go so badly?" you ask. "I mean, you don't even know me."

Jackson stalls, considering your question. Then, he takes a couple of steps forward, closing even more distance between the two of you. You lean back, thankful that the night is hiding your blush under his intense gaze. "Okay, you want to know the scoop?" 

You nod. 

He looks aside to check if anyone's listening in.

"Right, you didn't hear this from me, but Jaebum makes a bad impression on a lot of people, like really bad."

Like you don't know that already.

"But long story short, there's been a lot of potential friends we've lost because of him, and... you know, I think you're kind of cool for passing the ball to me, even if we lost..." he gives you a gentler smile this time. 

"Really?"

"Yeah, I'm serious."

Well, hearing it like this, it is difficult to say no in this situation, and you agree that it's going to be a new day tomorrow. Still, you have hesitations thinking about Jaebum's attitude tonight, and you wonder whether you don't mind seeing him again.
