Turn-Off #7 : Author's Note (A/N).

I personally do not mind it when author's throw in a little note. I actually like it at times, since I'm able to relate with the author and be like 'Oh, hey, I thought of it like that too!' Though at times, author notes could get annoying, especially when they're placed at the wrong spot.
By 'wrong spot', I mean in the middle of a passage you're writing. Do not just stop the story when something intense or cute just happened because you want to throw in your thoughts. Author's Note should be at the end, when you're done writing and ready to move onto the next chapter. Authors on here tend to write a little note at the bottom of their chapter, that's where an A/N should be.
Domo decided to be a rebel for once. He was sick and tired of being called the 'angel' in his household, therefore he went against his parents. (A/N: OMO~ Domo, why are you such a rebel? So bad!)
No, just no. Do not do that. It gets annoying and, once again, makes your work seem unprofessional.
I admit, I used to do this as well...when I first began writing fanfictions. When I go back and read my previous, horrible writing style, I basically did the total opposite of what I'm currently saying. If you read them, you'd call me a hypocrite. Though now, I finally realized what I should and should not do when I'm writing. Don't feel bad if you stop your writing just to put in a little A/N. Make sure next time though, you try to refrain from doing so.
