한글 배우기 (Learn Korean)과일 (gwah-eel)-fruit is good for the body but contains a lot of 설탕 (seol-tahng)-sugar, so be careful not to eat too much of it ^^
So you like fruit, huh? As a continuation of the last chapter, this chapter will be a list of fruits~
사과 (sah-gwah)- apple
바나나 (bah-nah-nah)- banana
포도 (poh-doh)- grape
수박 (soo-bahk)- watermelon
딸기 (ddahl-gi)- strawberry
오렌지 (oh-rehn-jee)- orange
배 (bae)- pear
석류 (suhk-ryu)- pomegranate
망고 (mahng-goh)- mango
파인애플 (pah-een-ae-peul)- pineapple
멜론 (mel-lohn)- melon
체리 (che-ree)- cherry
귤 (gyool)- clementine
레몬 (reh-mohn)- lemon
라임 (rah-eem)- lime
복숭아 (bohk-soong-ah)- peach
자두 (jah-doo)- plum
자몽 (jah-mohng)- grapefruit
키위 (kee-wee)- kiwi
살구 (sahl-goo)- apricot
블루 베리 (beul-loo-beh-ree)- blueberry
A lot of them sound like the English word for it, but if you just say it like you would in English, you'll seem pretentious and rude. The one thing people in foreign countries hate is when someone goes to their country and speaks English, expecting everyone to understand them. Yeah, English is the lingua franca but that doesn't mean that everyone speaks it. Next chappy will be up next weekend!!!
