복수 (Revenge)
한글 배우기 (Learn Korean)힘들겠지만
현실에 수긍하고 자기에더 투자해서
성공하는모습이
가장 현명한 복수에요.

힘들어 (heem-deul-uh)~ difficult, hard
If you add 겠지만 (get-ji-mahn) to an adjective, it means although so 힘들겠지만 (heem-deul-get-ji-mahn) means although it is difficult.
Although it is difficult
현실 (hyeon-sheel)~ reality
If you add 에 (eh) to a noun, it means in so 현실에 (hyeon-sheel-eh) means in reality.
수긍 (soo-geung)~ convince, agree
하고 (ha-gah) can mean and/to do
In the Korean language, convince is not a verb but a noun so you must add to do. You do the convincing.
자기 (jah-gi)~ you, also can be used as a term of endearment like "dear" or "honey"
자기 can mean yourself if you add 더 (deo) to the end (더 can also mean more)
투자 (too-jah)~ invest
Put it all together and it means
Agree to the reality and invest more into yourself.
성공 (seong-gong)~ success
모습 (moh-seub)~ it's hard to explain because I don't know the English word for this, but it's basically like a side of yourself or a side of any person in general (ie. This is the first time I've seen this intensively scary side of the usually cute girl.)
A successful you
가장 (gah-jang)~ most
현명 (hyeon-myeong)~ wisdom
복수 (bok-soo)~ revenge
Is the wisest revenge.
A/N:
I think this quote contains a lot of useful voacabulary and provides some really good advice at the same time so I decided to do a step by step translation.
Shout out to kpopescape for the first ever upvote c:
I just want you guys to know that you guys are welcome to ask for me to translate something for you or teach you something either in the comments or through private chat. I will also accept requests to do a step by step translation of music similar to what I did to the quote in this chapter.
