        YEAR 2013.

        It’s that time of the year again when agencies are busy. Debuts & comebacks of an artist or groups make everything hard for agencies especially when they try to top the BIG 3 of Korea. In SM Entertainment, EXO, their latest boy group who has debuted in the year 2012, has released their comeback song, “WOLF”. In Cube Entertainment, they are ready to debut their new girl group, composed of nine members, Angel’s Kiss. Is it time for the two childhood friends to meet?. 

        In M!Countdown, Angel’s Kiss will be making their first appearance and at the same time, EXO will be making their comeback. EXO was up for rehearsals after a number of groups who are also making debuts and comebacks. 12 playful members came together as it has been long since they hung out on stage like this in Korea. They prepare themselves with a mic test and by practicing the moves even if they aren’t broadcasting yet. As a group that has gained fame quickly, they always do their best to show the fans their all. A few minutes after preparations, the PD calls out that it’s time for their rehearsals. The boys start gather around and the PD explains how the camera will be roaming around them to capture their performance at a 360 degree angle which will make the performance look much better. They listened carefully and as the PD calls out it’s time to start, the boys start their first formation, which is the “Tree of Life”. The music plays and rehearsals begin. 

        Backstage, other artists who haven’t gone through rehearsals yet are prepping up with their stylists fixing up their make-up and by wearing their clothes. They watch the rehearsals of other groups on the television placed up inside their room. In Angel Kiss’ room, the nine members get ready for they will be next after EXO. The stylists put on last minute touches before heading out to the stage area. Unexpectedly, as they were heading out of the room, an M!Countdown camera appears.

        “Hello!” personnel said behind the camera and all the members bowed one by one as they past by it laughing afterwards for this is the first time a camera of a broadcasting station is right in front of them. 

        They entered the elevator and went up to the stage area. Though it was only rehearsals, they all felt extremely nervous. Majority of the members were well known due to their “ulzzang” looks and amazing talents and they gained a lot of fame even before their debut itself. Their pre-debut singing, dancing and rapping videos was spread in the net through Cube’s YouTube channel and it gained an amount of views no one could imagine. Their dream became true. 

        As they exited the elevator, another camera with another PD greeted them. They all bowed one by one as they entered the hall and another camera greeted them. 

        “Cameras everywhere.” Kim Soeun, Angel Kiss’ eldest said with a very gentle tone. She was a former “ulzzang” and we all know that “ulzzangs” always has a camera in front of them but this camera is different.

        “I’m nervous already.” Lee Jomin, Angel Kiss’ second youngest said and Park Songyul, the fourth eldest said not to be since they worked hard for this and they should cast all their nervousness aside for it may ruin all their hard work once on stage. 

        They wait for EXO to finish up watching how their rehearsals went on the TV and they actually ended up watching it too. Even while watching, the 12 members still chittered and chattered away telling each other their flaws and how they could fix that later on during the real broadcast. The PD called on Angel’s Kiss to get ready on stage to do a mic test and they did. As they were going up, Baekhyun felt an unusual change in the atmosphere as he looked at one of the members of Angel’s Kiss pass by to greet him.

        “Hello, sunbae.” The member of Angel’s Kiss said with a gentle tone that Baekhyun has remembered all his life as she bowed passing him going to the stage. He stared at her small figure as she was making her way up the stage and wondering who that girl was.

         “Did you score someone, Baekhyun?” Chanyeol, who was watching what just happened, asked.

        “No, no. That girl just seemed familiar to me.

        “Well, we’ll just figure that out when we are backstage with them later on. I heard we have an interview with that group since they are making their debut.”

        And with that Chanyeol left him. Baekhyun’s stylist told him that it’s time to go but he didn’t want to leave just yet. He wanted to know who that girl really was. Thoughts filled up his mind and realized that it could be a mistake. What if it’s not her? What if it just looks like her?

         “No, it might not be her.” He then left with the stylist and headed backstage to catch up with the other members.

        Meanwhile, on stage, Angel’s Kiss is ready to make their debut rehearsals. They started of by checking their mics, listening to the PD on how their stage will be because as requested by Cube, they want their stage to be amazing.

         “Hello! We are Angel’s Kiss! Please treat us well!” The girl who just passed by Baekhyun started it off and the others followed then bowed.

        Their greeting was simple yet a great start to ease their selves and lighten up the mood inside the hall. The PD called out its time to start their rehearsals and their started off their first formation. Their rehearsals turned out better than expected. They sang 100% live; they tried not to dance to the extreme so that they have enough energy for the real thing but they still gave their best in performance level.

        Meanwhile, inside EXO’s backstage room, the members started doing their personal things. Sleeping, practicing, listening to music, eating and watching the other groups in their rehearsals. The curious Baekhyun watched Angel’s Kiss’ performance and looking at the members one-by-one as the cameras would close up on their faces during their solo parts. Their song was drawing to an end with a great harmony of two singers with their high notes and the last chorus playing in the background being sung by the other members. The close up of the two high note singing members were shown side by side on the screen and Baekhyun suddenly got out of his seat and started staring at the screen. Suho saw what was happening and it’s his first time seeing Baekhyun serious about another group just rehearsing. By this time, he would be playing with the other beagles, Chanyeol & Chen, but no, he is staring at 2 girls on the screen. Angel’s Kiss’ performance came to an end and they thanked the staff for working hard as they exited the stage.

        “Since when were you this serious?” Suho asked out of the blue as he placed his palm on Baekhyun’s shoulder.

         “It’s nothing. I just thought I saw my childhood friend.” He replied with his head down wondering if that was really her.

         “Who? One of the members of Angel’s Kiss?” Baekhyun nodded in reply. Suho couldn’t say anything no more because he didn’t want to hurt Baekhyun. By the look of the younger’s face, he did look broken.

        Baekhyun gave out a small sigh and just went back to watching the other groups after Angel’s Kiss rehearse then take a little nap before broadcasting starts.

        BROADCAST.

        All fans from different groups start entering the venue. Prepared cheering banners for EXO and Angel’s Kiss was visible as the fans held them as high as they could. Broadcasting starts as the PD gives a signal to the MCs to start off the program. It went smooth as usual. The nervous Angel’s Kiss started heading to the room where they will be interviewed for their debut along with EXO who will be having their comeback. Mics and the cameras were being set up in the room as Angel’s Kiss was there waiting for EXO patiently, stylists touching up their make ups and watching the other groups perform on the TV Screen that was present inside the room.

        EXO came in the room when it was almost their time to show the interview. The 2 MCs were also present in the room. Angel’s Kiss, as the “hoobaes”, respectfully gave EXO and the MCs 90 degree bows as they entered the room and greeted them with their smiles. The two groups stood in a straight line with Baekhyun in the middle beside an Angel’s Kiss member. 2 more minutes until their interview and the 2 members in the middle were given mics.
