2 months later.

Angel’s Kiss has finally wrapped up their recording session for their very first comeback song. It is as upbeat as their debut song but they kind of dropped their cutesy side for a while. Meanwhile, for EXO, they have started filming their music video for their own comeback song.

March 26, Xiumin’s birthday.

EXO decided to hold a surprise birthday for Xiumin and since it would be hard to distract Xiumin, they decided to ask some help from Angel’s Kiss.

“You’re joking, right?” Songyul, who was on the other line, said to Kris.

“I wouldn’t be calling you if I was joking.”

“Okay, okay. Well, we just finished our first takes on the music video so I guess we can help out? We’ll just get home and freshen up a bit then we can probably meet up at 12PM in Gangnam. Will that be all right?”

“Perfect timing. I’ll tell the others. Make sure you divide yourselves into 2 teams.”

“Certainly. We’ll see you later!”

Kris told the others that it’s official. They’ll be helping them for Xiumin’s surprise party. Because of all their ruckus, woke Xiumin up from his deep sleep and he was super cranky. He went out to the living room where the others were and just stared at them before going back to sleep. When the coast was clear and after Luhan verified that he was back in his deep sleep, they started talking about how to divide themselves. It has been decided that Luhan, Kris, Baekhyun, Chen, Tao and Sehun will be group 1 – they will be buying the gifts and decorations and group 2 will be Lay, Suho, Chanyeol, D.O and Kai, who will be distracting Xiumin by going out to COEX mall and probably in Hongdae for some reason.

Meanwhile, in the Angel’s Kiss dorm, they arrived at 7:45AM after finishing the first parts of their music video. Despite being tired, they still accepted the offer of helping out EXO for their birthday surprise for Xiumin. Since Kris told Songyul to divide themselves into 2 groups, they did as she was told after freshening up. Group 1 consists of – Soeun, Yoonmi, Hyunae, Mikyeong and Hwayoung, they will be the ones who will be buying the gifts and decorations as instructed by Suho, who texted Soeun recently and group 2 will be Youngsoon, Songyul, Haewon and Jomin, who will be distracting Xiumin. Group 1 will be meeting in Gangnam and Group 2 will be meeting in COEX, without Xiumin. They rested a bit longer and left at 10AM to meet up with their counterpart.

Since Gangnam was a huge place, they’ve decided to meet up in a known café. EXO’s group 1 arrived first then came the group 1 of Angel’s Kiss, who arrived around 10 minutes after EXO.

“So, since we’re eleven in the group, let’s divide ourselves by count off.” Kris, who took over as the “daddy” said.

They all did as they were told and they ended up having 2 groups. Subgroup 1- Luhan, Kris, Baekhyun, Soeun, Mikyeong and Hwayoung and Subgroup 2- Chen, Tao, Sehun, Yoonmi and Hyunae.

“I believe that Group 2 can go to Myeongdong. We can find some decorations there. Just give us the list of decorations and we’ll find it there. Also, give us half of the gifts that we’ve written down so we can buy it there too.” Yoonmi acted like the leader of the group and they all agreed to it.

“Then we’ll stay here in Gangnam. We’ll buy majority of the gifts here.” Luhan replied.

After finalizing everything, subgroup 2 headed to Myeongdong to buy the gifts. It’s already 11:30AM and the stores are open. Practically, Subgroup 1 didn’t go their separate ways while buying gifts. They stuck together like super glued paper. They all bought gifts, including the gifts of the other member that fit Xiumin well. They finished after 3 hours after scavenging for the last gift on the list. They rested in the café they were in a while ago and Hwayoung decided to call one of her closest friends in EXO, Kai.

“Oppa? Have you finished?”

“Not quite. We halved ourselves (mixed) here to distract Xiumin. We just finished for about 30 minutes ago and Xiumin’s headed to Hongdae to meet up the other group. They’ll be bringing Xiumin home at around 6PM to our dorm. Just in time for the surprise party.”

“Hold on. I’ll relay this to Kris.” She replied and placed the phone away from her ear to talk to Kris.

“I see. I’m sure the others have finished buying decorations already. Perhaps we can start heading to our dorm and let the last group with Xiumin to handle everything. Tell Kai to start thinking and ordering the food they will arrive in time for the party.”

“I understand.”

She placed back the phone by her ear and told everything to Kai. Everything was clear and was going unexpectedly well. The three groups who have finished headed to EXO’s dorm and started putting up the decorations around the living room. D.O, who was in Kai’s group, decided to cook something special for Xiumin’s birthday. The ordered food such as chicken, and kept on arriving. Just an hour and 30 minutes left and the other group with Xiumin will be arriving.

The cake, on the other hand, cannot be delivered to their dorm so Hwayoung volunteered to get the cake at the store herself. To be safe, Baekhyun decided to accompany her. She insisted that he didn’t because of the news about them and her company told her to lay low a bit if ever there is already something going on between them. He was hard headed and he didn’t care about what others thought. He just wanted her all to himself and he doesn’t want to lose her again. She had no choice but to let him go with her. The only problem was, he didn’t know how to drive and their vans went missing. She called up her manager to ask where in the world he was and where their van went but his reply was that he left one of Hwayoung’s cars in the parking lot of the building. They both headed down and to her surprise, her manager brought her Range Rover to the building.

“Guess I’m driving.” Hwayoung said as she was entering the driver’s side where she found the keys inside the compartment. It made Baekhyun laugh because of the fact that he can’t drive.

They drove to the nearby cake and picked up a specially made cake for Xiumin. It was a small 2-tiered chocolate cake with “Happy Birthday Xiumin” placed on the first tier and on the second tier were 2 made roses and some grey styled frostings. For safety, Baekhyun held the cake with him and they headed back to the dorm. With 10 minutes to spare, they made final preparations and started lighting up the candles, which will be placed on the cake.

At last, the birthday boy has arrived. They closed the lights and they could hear footsteps coming from the main door of their dorm. Some chatters here and chatters there and the voice of Xiumin was heard. He reached the living room and wondered why it was so dark.

“Happy birthday!” They all shouted and opened the lights. They made Xiumin wish for a minute and made him blow all the candles and as he finished and was distracted by talking to the others, the playful members removed the candles and smacked the cake on Xiumin’s face. Too bad they didn’t get to eat it.

“Seriously? I could’ve eaten that.” The elder was bitter but a smile still spread across his face.

They all chattered the whole night but all good things have to come to an end. They celebrated until midnight and Angel’s Kiss had to go back to their dorm to rest up before heading to their next shooting location for their new music video.

“Stay safe, alright?” Baekhyun, who went to see Hwayoung off said to her before boarding her car to drive home.

“I will.” She gave him a hug.

“Drive safely, too. You drank quite a lot.” She broke the hug and laughed and gave him an assuring answer that she will drive safely and make sure her members don’t get hurt on the way home.

She boarded the car and drove off home.

It has been a month since Angel’s Kiss and EXO met up. Despite being under SM Management, Angel’s Kiss had a choice of where they would want to practice and they decided to stay in Cube for awhile before heading to SM Entertainment for their own practices. It was their day-off for today so Hwayoung decided to pay Baekhyun a visit. It was almost lunchtime so she decided to have lunch with him but as she was trying to call and text him for hours, she hasn’t been receiving a reply.

Could he be sleeping?

She had no choice but to just barge in EXO’s area. She knocked at EXO’s
