Months have passed and the filming of “Hello Baby” has never been more than successful. It has received awards at so many awards show especially the “End of the Year” award shows. The cast has also received awards for being part of the making of this show and it has received the highest ratings in show history. Along with being busy with “Hello Baby”, EXO has just wrapped up their Christmas Comeback and Angel’s Kiss is on the way to having their first concert tour. But before that, they all need a much-awaited rest and yes, they did get their rest. Angel’s Kiss and EXO was able to get 3 months of rest before getting back on their feet to perform in front of all their fans.

As they were on hiatus, “Hello Baby” was still on-going. The members who are part still had to stay in the “Hello Baby” house to take care of the children and also because the show hasn’t officially ended the season. But for today, the children were brought back to the orphanage for a while so that the members can go back to their dorms or go visit their parents over the holidays. Since it’s Christmas season, Hwayoung decided to go back to her hometown and Baekhyun tagged along since they practically live in the same province. It was an awkward train ride for the two because they were practically surrounded by fans everywhere. They tried so hard to not mind them but they couldn’t and even changing seats and couches were impossible because they had reserved seating and the train was extremely full with everyone going home to their families.

Overall, the horrendous train ride wasn’t all that bad. They managed to get out unharmed and barely disturbed by their fans. From the station, they walked to their homes, which, is in front of each other, to enjoy the scenery that they haven’t seen for years and smell the good provincial air away from pollution. It was a peaceful town with cheerful people. Walking home, they talked and talked remembering the days they would walk down the streets and how they would always go home together with their friends and sneak out late night to go to the karaoke place nearby.

“Will you be okay?” Baekhyun asked Hwayoung before she was able to enter her house.

“Of course. Now, come on. Go and surprise your parents. They’ve haven’t seen you for ages.”

“Yes, ma’am.” He gave her a quick hug and watched her as she entered her house before going to his house just across.

“It’s good to be ho-“

“Surprise!!!” That face, that voice. That appearance that she hasn’t seen even before she left to fulfill her dreams in Seoul. Her brother, Daehyun, has returned.

“Brother! How long has it been?” She gave him an extreme bear hug that she barely gives to anyone.

“Hey, that should be my line! You’ve grown so much. Why didn’t you tell me you’re already an idol, huh? I’ve been watching you ever since mom called me that you’re already on TV.”

“How can I contact you if I’m busy 24/7? Plus, I didn’t know your American number so I really would have a hard time either ways.” They both laughed and well, it was the truth.

Despite being away from his younger sister for who knows how many years, their relationship as siblings are strong even if they weren’t also able to contact each other. Being a hardworking brother and son, we would send some goods from America to his family and when Hwayoung was already in Seoul, her parents would send her some too. He would send messages to his parent and to Hwayoung and she would read them while she was inside the van going to her schedules. He was her strength to go on and to work hard. He was her inspiration ever since even if they have different occupations.

The siblings went out to a nearby café after catching up with her parents so they could bond even more. Well, their parents pushed them to go alone since their parents had to prepare for a celebration tonight. This café they are would be the café being run by a very close friend of theirs. Not being able to see the siblings for so long, their family friend removed her apron, ran to them and gave them a hug as they entered the café. She gave them the seat they would always sit in. It’s been hoe many years and she still remembers where they sit. 

They talked, caught up and enjoyed the sweet taste of the coffee they haven’t had in ages. In the middle of their catching up, some people they know from their small town approached them and asked for Hwayoung’s signature.

“My dear! It’s been how many years. I’m glad your company is treating you well and promoting you well.” The old lady handed over her group’s latest album and Hwayoung signed the inside of the album leaving a small, heartwarming note.

“Thank you. I can’t believe that Cube and SM are treating me well. I wasn’t actually expecting them to since they are quite hard on trainees nowadays focusing on talents and them pushing me to do well paid off.”

They all laughed and the kind old lady left in a rush to not disturb them any further so the siblings can continue catching up. Around 5PM, they left the café and walked around their small town to reminisce. Scrambling answering replies and sending late New Year messages and such, Daehyun encountered a news having the two siblings spotted together and there was even a misleading title which fans clarified immediately.

“So these how the media is nowadays.” Annoyingly said as he was showing the news to his younger sister.

“I know. They upload even faster than the speed of light and misleading titles causes a lot of problems. It’s a good thing fans clarified it immediately after digging deep down for pictures from my old social media accounts.”

“What a relief! I thought I was going to be strangled by all your fans thinking that I’m your boyfriend when we clearly look a like!” He said jokingly and the two laughed like there is no tomorrow. 

They walked and walked until the reached home. They still caught up especially during dinner with their parents. They asked how Hwayoung has been doing with her fellow and group mates and how the company is treating her. She gave out positive replies and that was a relief to her parents. They also asked her how her schedules is nowadays and obviously, they are super tight because of the continuous filming of “Hello Baby”, comebacks every now and then and preparations for their first concert will keep her extremely busy for the next months. They begged her to rest when she can and stay as healthy as she can despite their strict diet that they have to foll
