A Boy Who WillIX.
9.20 AM
“Who is this?”
Her voice was low and raspy because she’d woken up not a long while ago, and was quite angered that someone had called her so early in the morning.
“Jagiya! Good morning.”
She groaned inwardly and put a slightly brighter tone as she replied, “Do you have any idea, my dear, what time it is now?”
“You’re supposed to be awake by eight! Sleeping late is bad for you! I should set an alarm the next time I’m away.”
“Yeah, yeah whatever.”
“Wait! Don’t hang up yet! I want to tell you something.”
“What, pray tell,” she shut her eyes, “is it?”
“I love you princess!”
4.30 PM
“Hello?”
“Good afternoon princess!”
Jessica crossed her legs and flipped through her magazine, holding her phone close to her ear. More awake now, she replied faster.
“Good afternoon, Jinki.”
“Why, you’re annoyed to hear me?”
“I always sound like that.” She put down the magazine, stood up and examined her nails closely, saying the words as if it was the most normal thing in the world.
“Anyway… I love you! And I miss you a lot. I just wanted to say that. Bye now!”
10.30 PM
“You’re awake? Go to sleep princess…”
“Yes I’m awake. You called me at 10.30, douche, and my phone rings pretty loud. How many times are you planning on calling me a day?”
She was still in her study room, staying up late to do some last minute homework. Putting her glasses on the table, she shook her head.
“Three a day. I figured you’d miss me. Don’t you?”
“I suppose. When are you coming back?”
“Soon, I promise. I just have to finish some things over here. I’ll be back. I love you!”
“Love you too. Get some sleep soon.”
She smiled, hung up and proceeded to retire to her bed. It had been a long day, but those calls made all the difference.
I want a boy who will call me three times a day if he went away.
