Sophie's POV

I was walking Vanessa to work, it had became temporarily apart of our daily routine since her car was getting work done 

"So has Sehun called you today yet?"

"No, not yet. He usually calls me when I get home from practice" 

"You two are getting quite close"

"Yeah. he tells me he misses me, hearing it from him makes me get butterflies" I feel a goofy smile coming on 

"Tell me more, watching you fall for someone is too adorable" she links our arms 

"Well the other day we went to each other's houses. His sister was cute, she likes me, and so does his mom. His room was so plain, like there wasn't any decorations. Which was nothing like my room, you could barely see my wall. We talked for a long time that day" 

"What about?"

"The most random things. I really liked talking to him, he thinks different, not like a lot people I've talked to" 

"He must be really smart, he is an heir to all the companies in this city" 

"Yeah, sometimes he sounds just like my father though" 

"Probably because you two seem to have the same kind of fathers" 

"It kind of scares me knowing that, I mean imagine when I meet his father, what if he treats me like my father?"

"I'm sure Sehun will protect you" Vanessa assures me

"How could I be so sure?"

"Well he likes you, doesn't he?"

"How do I know he likes me?"

"You have to ask him!" 

She was right, and that's exactly what I was going to do when he called me

I was on my way back home, practice ended early and I was looking down at my phone when I run into someone

"I'm sorry I wasn't-" I look up to see Sehun

"You're back early" I lit up but I tone it down

"Yeah, I got done faster since you missed me so much" 

We awkwardly stood there, seeing who was going to hug who first. 

This time it was me to give in, I wrapped my arms around him and place my head on his chest, seconds later he hugs me back.

As I heard his heartbeat I asked, "Sehun, do you like me?"

It was silent, he clears his throat

"Yeah, yeah I do" I could tell he felt a little nervous from admitting it 

"Well that's good, because I like you too" 

"So what does this mean?" he asks me

"I'm not so sure, I'm just as new to this as you. How about for now we just like each other, and we'll become something more when we're ready" 

"Sounds good to me" 

A few minutes more had passed before we let go of each other 

"That was nice" he says to me and smiles 

"Yeah, yeah it was" I smile back at him 

"Want me to walk you home?" 

I nod and we stroll down the block 

"Where's your car?" 

"When my dad came to pick me up from the airport, I told him I needed to take a walk and that I'll be home shortly" he explains 

"How did you know practice was going to end early?"

"I didn't. I was just going to wait for you" 

I smiled to myself

"Well I'm glad you're back" 

"Me too" 

While walking home, I start to get shivers, it probably wasn't a good idea to walk in my tights and leotard, with only a peacoat to keep me warm. 

"Are you cold?"

"No, I'm fine" 

He takes his coat off and gives it to me.

"I figure that's what I'm supposed to do" he explains when I look up at him

"Thanks for walking me" I tell him when we reach my house.

I go to give him his coat back but he stops me

"No keep it, I'm not that cold, plus I have a million, in the same color"

"It looks expensive, I can't keep this"

"No it's fine, wear next time you miss me" 

"Alright I will"

He leans in closer to me and my heart starts pounding, I close my eyes thinking he was going to kiss me on the lips

Instead, I feel him kiss me on the forehead 

"Goodnight Sophie" he says with a gentle smile 

"Goodnight" I reply in a low voice

He waves to me as he walks off.
