Kwon Sora taps her pencil lightly against her notebook, staring at nothing in particular as she thinks about what she was going to do once she got home. Volunteering until 8pm did not leave her many options, but still, it would be nice to do something. After all, the weather was starting to get better. She looks outside, admiring the bright blue sky with only a few clouds.

It was such a shame that she had to spend such a large chunk of her day cooped up at school with nothing but lectures to listen to.

“Yo.” A voice startles her, and she turns around to find her boyfriend of two years, Kris.

“What’re you up to?” He places a single red rose onto her desk, and a gentle kiss onto her cheek. Sora picks it up delicately, smiling before she answers him.

“Nothing. Just thinking about what I would do later.”

“Don’t you have volunteering stuff to do?” He pulls a chair up next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder and pulling her onto his chest. Sighing contentedly, she looks up at him to see him smiling down at her.

“After, I meant.”

“Oh. Do you want me to pick you up after you’re done and we can go somewhere?” he suggests. “I know a place, and I don’t think we’ve been there together yet.”

“Where?”

“You’ll see.”

“Okay,” she shrugs. Kris stands up and holds out his hand, right when the bell rings. Sora takes it happily, and Kris touches the back of her hand to his lips. She wrinkles her nose, and Kris just smiles and presses a kiss to her forehead.

“Stop, you’re being all mushy and weird today. Did something happen?”

“Nope, seeing you just makes me really happy.”

Neither of them can hide the blush nor the smiles that covers their faces.

Sitting patiently on the wooden bench outside the community center, Sora checks her phone to make sure Kris hadn’t texted her while she was busy. But of course, he did.

“Idiot,” she mumbles under her breath, although smiling fondly. Sora looks back at the conversations they’ve had, her smile growing wider and wider.

Oh, how much Kris had changed her life. In a good way, of course.

She didn’t feel a warm presence beside her until someone decided to whisper into her ear, the warm breath against her neck making her jump.

“Missed me, huh?”

She lets out a shriek, nearly dropping her phone onto the ground.

“You scared me!” She looks accusingly at Kris, but he only pinches her cheeks in response.

“Aww, you’re so cute even when you’re mad,” he teases. Sora gets up from her spot, walking towards her boyfriend’s car which was currently parked just a few feet away.

“Let’s just go.” Kris runs over to open the car door, closing it once Sora steps in, but not before giving her a wink.

He turns on the music once he gets into the car, letting the soothing melody fill the car. Kris nods along, and Sora begins singing along, earning a smile of approval from Kris. He begins driving towards the unknown destination, and Sora simply looks outside, fascinated by how bright it was outside despite it being just a bit past eight.

They arrive at their destination just minutes later, Kris motioning for her to get out of the car while he moves to the trunk and pulls out a basket and a bag. Sora raises her eyebrow, and as if she’d asked a question, Kris explains.

“It’s supposed to be really nice out here once it’s dark.” That’s when Sora takes a good look at her surroundings, noticing the large orchard just yards away. She thought it was absolutely breathtaking already.

Kris takes Sora to the middle of the field, spreading a large blanket onto the ground and placing the bag and basket onto it. He then sits down, patting the spot next to him. She obediently takes a seat next to him, leaning against his arm as soon as she does so. As if on instinct, Kris brings an arm around her waist, pulling her closer. They look at the field of flowers for a few moments, until Kris’ attention goes to the basket next to him.

“Are you hungry?” he asks, and as if on cue, Sora’s stomach growls. This earns a laugh from Kris, and he pulls out multiple containers. He removes the lids, and Sora’s mouth opens as soon as she sees the food, still warm, in the containers. Kris hands her a pair of chopsticks, motioning for her to eat.

“Eat anything you’d like. It’s all for you.”
