All Because a Cup of CoffeeThe rain fell with a light tap on Luhan's window as he lay on his couch, the soft rhythms of an erhu resonating from his speaker and the burning smell of paint washing over the entire apartment. "Well,he's painting again..." he sighed, staring at his front door. "I wonder if he would get mad if I wanted to watch him..." Luhan smiled, walking slowly into the hallway.

Sehun sighed as he scrutinized at his work, adding delicate of red in with the violently sponged blue. "Hmm, I don't think this is working..." he mumbled, running his hand through his hair. "Well, crap." He added with a sigh, setting his pallet and brush onto the table and washing his hands in the marble basin. "The committee is going to hate this, I just know it..." Sehun thought, cringing as he looked to his work on the corner easel. his thoughts were interrupted as he heard a light knock at the front door. "Who could that be...?" He wondered, opening the door and slamming it immediately when he saw Luhan. "Holy crap...wait. Was that Luhan?" He huffed, his heart racing and his hand shaking as he fully opened the door, offering Luhan a smile.
"I'm sorry if I startled you, but I was in my living room when I started to smell your paint, and I was wondering if I could maybe...watch you paint..?" Luhan asked with a smile.
Sehun nodded and stepped to the side, unable to speak. No one had ever wanted to see him paint before, especially anyone who he had just met.
"Wow, you certainly keep busy..." Luhan whispered, looking around at the hundreds of bottles of paint and stacked canvases on the left wall. "How long have you been painting this kind of stuff?"
"Uh, well let's see. I started when I was about nine, so...eight, nine years? Something like that..." Sehun admited. Luhan smiled, which made Sehun's breath hitch in his throat and his face burn. "Sorry, my place is kind of a mess right now. I've been working on a new piece and it's not going too well..."
"Wow! Do you mind if I see it?" Luhan asked. Sehun nodded and directed him to the study, where his work-in-progress was drying in the corner. "Woah, I like the colours!" He exclaimed.
Sehun smirked and bowed his head sightly, picking up his pallet and sponge. "Thanks. It's not finished yet, but I'm glad you like it so far.If I can just get it to blend..."
"Why don't you use a colour you wouldn't normally use with these colours?" Luhan asked. Sehun cocked his head to the side, picking up a bottle of magenta paint and swirling it onto the canvas. "See? I think it looks good!"
"Yeah, you're right. How did you know to do that?" Sehun agreed, his eyes staying fixed on his work.
"Well, I figured it was like coffee. If you can't find two flavours that coordinate in the cup, mix in something wild." Luhan smiled, the chime of Sehun's wall clock alerting him to the time. "Well, it's getting late. I was really hoping to see you paint a little more, but I have school tomorrow. Bye, Sehun!" Luhan sighed, bowing at the hip and taking his leave.
Sehun watched him as he left, chuckling as he softly closed the door behind him. "If you can't find two flavours that coordinate in the cup, mix in something wild..." He shrugged, setting the canvas on the drying rack beside its easel. He sighed as he felt a fluttering sensation in his stomach and his heart pounding. "What's going on? Am I getting sick?"
