All Because a Cup of CoffeeLuhan sighed, sliding down the door with a wide grin. "He's a boy? Wow..." He whispered to himself, hugging his knees to his chest. "Wow, my chest hasn't felt this way since I left home!" He chuckled. "Oh, he's so cute! And that rainbow hair...oh my goodness, how can a total stranger have such an effect on me?" He babbled. The chiming of the clock sent a jolt through Luhan. "Oh, time for bed..." He sighed, curling up on his couch and listening to the slow tick of his clock, muffled by the sounds of the city below. "Goodnight, rainbow boy.." He laughed, the sweet, tingling smell of paint sending him off to sleep.
The next day was quite uneventful at the coffee shop. The usual teenagers after school, businessmen during lunch, the redundancy bored Luhan and Donghae both, who began to splash in the water of the sink as they washed the dishes. The day went on monotonously, until the sun set behind the buildings. Luhan was wiping the counter while Donghae mopped the floor. "Excuse me, but might you have time for one more customer?" A voice called from the door. Donghae smiled, guiding him to the counter. "Excuse me, but I'd like something to drink..." The voice said. Luhan looked up from the sink, dropping the cup in his soapy, slippery hands.
"U-um, what can I get for you sir?" He stammered, taking a deep breath as he tried to conduct himself in a professional manner. The man tapped on his chin, looking at the menu closely.
"Hmm...I can't decide, it all sounds so delicious..." He muttered, running a hand through his rainbow colored hair. "Why don't you surprise me?" He smiled, causin Luhan's breath to hitch in his throat. He nodded, turning all of his attention to the espresso machine. After about two minutes, he turned back to the man, handing him a hot cup of coffee.
"There you are sir. I hope you enjoy it!" Luhan forced a smile as the man took a small sip, smacking his lips as to distinguish the flavours. "Is it to your tastes, sir?"
"Tastes...familiar.." He said, smelling the beverage and taking another sip. "Frappucino with...vanilla beans, white mocha syrup, and cinnamon sugar dolce syrup..." He whispered, looking at Luhan closely. "By any chance, would you happen to live in an apartment? The front desk is a woman with long brown hair, usually wears red lipstick?"
"Um, yes.." Luhan answered, a limp forming in his throat as he began to piece it together.
"I believe you are my neighbour. You made this for me the other night, didn't you?" The man stood, looking into the cup as he drank the rest of his drink down. "I apologize for not greeting my own neighbour when he moved in. My name is Oh Sehun." He smiled, bowing his head respectfully.
"W-wait, Oh Sehun? As in the painter Oh Sehun?!" Donghae called from the back. He came rushing out, bowing at the hip. "I love your work! It's a great honour to meet you!" Sehun looked around before looking back to Luhan. Donghae rose to look at Sehun. "Wait, you can't be older than thirty!"
"Um...I'm eighteen..." Sehun responded, confused by Donghae's actions. "But thank you, I'm glad you think so highly of me." He smiled, bowing his head. "Well, thank you for the coffee...I'm sorry, what was your name?" He asked, looking to Luhan. Luhan's face began to burn as he looked into Sehun's eyes.
"U-uh Luhan, sir. My name is Luhan..."
"Luhan, huh? Well, goodbye, Luhan. Perhaps now that I know you exist, I can invite you over sometime..." He smiled, taking his jacket and walking into the cold streets.
