Twelve
All Because a Cup of Coffee"Are you kidding me? How are you going to live in our country and you can't even speak our language? Either you forget all of that gutter trash you call a language or go back to your filthy country, you Commie." The larger boy spat in Luhan's face as he lay on the ground, a gash from his knee staining his grey pants red with blood. "Filthy piece of garbage. Look at you, you can't even fight like a man. What are you really? Some homo piece of crap? Get up and punch me!" He screamed.
Luhan curled into a tight ball. "I n-no hit people. No nice for...me, thank you..." He attempted. He'd only been living in Korea for a few months, so of course his Korean wasn't the best. But what would he do? He was small, weak, and passive. He closed his eyes tightly and pretended the cracking sound of his bones was actually twigs that he and his brother were stepping on back home.
"Come on Luhan, wake up!" The boys screamed. "Wake up-"
"Luhan!"
Luhan awoke to find himself on his couch, his hair drenched with sweat and his face flushed. "No! They're going to kill me! They stomped on my back and almost killed me I almost died-"
Sehun placed his hands around Luhan's shoulders. "Luhan, no one is trying to kill you. It was just a nightmare, you're okay..."
"N-Nightmare?" Luhan whispered, swallowing passed the dry lump in his throat. "Wait, how did you-"
"I heard you screaming and kind of..." Sehun started, "broke your lock getting in here. You sounded like you were being murdered."
Luhan felt his face heat up and his stomach tighten. Sehun was worried? About...him? "So you...worried about me?"
Sehun smirked and scratched the back of his head. "I suppose I did." He sighed. "Listen, there's something I'd like to ask you: My latest art exhibit is opening tomorrow at the local museum, and I'd love for you to show up. Say, seven o'clock?"
Luhan let out a shaky sigh as he made his way to the kitchen for a cup of iced coffee. "I don't know, I have to check in with Donghae first, but if he says yes, I'll be more than honoured to go with you." He smiled, his hair falling in seemingly precise locks around his eyes.
"Uh..great. Great! Okay, well..." Sehun stammered, his heart beating violently against his chest and his stomach tightening into a hard knot. "s-see you tomorrow hopefully..!" he smiled, rushing from Luhan's apartment to his own. "Woah..." He sighed, sliding down the door and looking around his home. "What is going on with me? Am I getting sick?" He thought, feeling his forehead for any sign of a fever. "Maybe I should call someone..."
Yay! Finally, everything that I've been writing toward is coming soon! I hope can keep this series going for a long time, I'm really starting to get ideas! Oh, and before I forget: I will be rewriting this with the help of my colleague. We will be turning this into an for anyone willing and able to read it who maybe wants to see this get into a bit of... 'graphic'(?) detail. The title will stay the same, but for now, this is actually one of my first romance novels (I would be working on Oil/Water, but I don't feel like it right now...ugh).
