Books are what I want, Not you.

Syndrome [ 신드롬 ]

With the sun arising, oldest twin ChanHee awakes first, peeling himself off of his plush and comfortable bed and into the bathroom where he washes up, puts on his dress shirt and vest, dress pants and of course - the final piece of his nerdy look, the thick black glasses. While brushing his hair down, he noticed it's only about an hour before school - nothing unusual. ChanHee usually took mornings as a little book time to work out his brain before classes and to enjoy a quality down time with his favorite novels - one such as Harry Potter. With the series recently ending with their final movie, ChanHee finds himself reliving his childhood series with a classic read of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." As quoted from him, 'No movie based on a book can ever become just as good as the book itself.'

As time passed, nearly half an hour later, younger fraternal twin ByungHun awakes, washes up and groggily drops himself on the couch of the common room with his tie undone, his dress shirt tucked out and undone collar button. "Aish... ChanHee, you're reading? Again? I don't understand how you can wake up early JUST to read..." He trailed off with slight annoyance in his voice. He was never the morning person, let alone a book worm. He ruffled his carrot orange hair and rubbed his tired eyes.

"It's Harry Potter." ChanHee flicked his younger ones forehead and pushes up his glasses. "And can you at least try to sleep less? Too much sleep will give you a headache..." He worriedly said. With concern reflected in his eyes, young ByungHun couldn't help but to feel warm inside, the care of someone close could bring a lot.

"Pff~" He scoffed. With that, he got up and ruffled his hair once more and gave ChanHee the lovely, cool glare, one that ChanHee had always burned from. "I'll be getting a pillow for Chemistry." With him walking away into the halls and into their dorm, ChanHee sighed heavily, he cared so much about him, yet he refused to try in school and always slept - it's those unhealthy conditions that his brother simply could not stand.

Quickly, he had gotten up, going to library to meet up with Mr. Ahn Daniel, where they had their daily trades of random genres of books and titles. It was the love of reading that brought all his worries away, especially when he gets a lower than a 95 on a test grade.

"Daniel!" He called out while gently jogging down the beautiful and prestige halls, meeting his very close friend at the door of the library. He waved lightly with a perfect and genuine smile that only he could acquire. Daniel couldn't help but to smile back and wave. With books in their hands, they head inside together, closer than a bookmark to a good book.

Daniel whispered in a sweet tone, "I was reading this book called Momotaro: Boy of the Peach yesterday and it was simply amazing!" He held it out, showing a cover of a boy with animals around him. "It's about a boy who came out of a peach to fend off monsters. This book is usually filled of short stories and myths but it shouldn't take too long, I finished it in about 3 hours."

ChanHee was astounded, pushing up his thick glasses once more. "Really? How quick!" He applauded in a lone pitch. With that, Daniel's eyes had sparkled with the thought of receiving a new book from his hyung. "I was reading The Los Angeles BB Murder Cases and it simply just amazing!" He pulled out the black and white book from his jet black messenger bag and held it out. "It about the world's greatest detective in pursuit of solving his hardest case yet! I was even surprised at the outcome... A great book!" He shot another smile for reassurance while Daniel held it in excitement and sweetness. Detective novels were their second favorite types of books under the magic genre. Harry Potter always reined first.

"Thanks hyung!" He shot a smile back and immediately opened it up. ChanHee had done the same and the two had begun reading once more, until classes had started.

A half an hour later, they say their good byes in French as it was their elective. "Au revoir!"

"Au bien tot!"

On ChanHee's way to class, he spots ByungHun coolly leaning on a locker, with his hands in his pockets and staring back at ChanHee with an upmost cool and y gaze. With girls surrounding him, ChanHee sighs in sadness. 'Seeing him with all those girls can really bring a guys mood down...'

"Ah, ChanHee." ByungHun called out. He fixed another gaze at him that literally could have set ChanHee on FIRE. It was the fantasy of wanting ByungHun that always had embarrassed him. 'It's wrong to love your brother... It's wrong to want him this way...' He repeated in his head. 'But... Aish... What are the odds your brother feeling the same anyway? We're twins... We're family...'
