The progress between Jongin and Soojung's matchmaking is nearly 1%. I tried to bring a topic to Jongin about Soojung, but he kept saying ‘who’s Soojung?’. Sometimes I don’t know if he’s doing it on purpose or what.

It has been weeks since Jongin and Luhan transferred to my school. So far so good except for the fact that Luhan has been treating me like someone who he can bully, although I never let him do that. I always fight back. Somehow.

 “Can I tell you something?” I asked Jongin shyly.

Currently we’re in our classroom with few of our classmates having their own businesses and doing their thing in their seats. The others including Soojung and Luhan were outside having their lunch.

“Sure. Anything.” Jongin said. He was sitting across me.

Our elbows rest on the same desk. His eyes were on the windows while mine were on his, but when I asked permission about telling him something, his eyes shifted to mine making eye contact.

I exhaled. “This is about your brother.”

“Luhan hyung?”

I nodded. “He’s been acting very differently. Is he naturally a bipolar? Or is he a woman in disguise?”

“What?” He covered his mouth trying to prevent from laughing so loud. “What do you mean by ‘woman in disguised’?”

“I mean . . . girls are the ones who are usually bipolar, r-right? One second a girl is happy then the next thing you know she’s crying like her puppy died. S-something like that.” I tried to explain casually but I kept stuttering.

“Ah . . . that, I don’t know about. I’ve been keeping an eye on Luhan hyung for the past week and I have noticed that he changed a lot.” His eyebrows suddenly furrowed. “He’s been depressed a lot and I never seen him smile these days too. Luhan hyung wasn’t like that, but my dad said that he was like that when Jiyoung—“

“Me?” My eyes widen.

“N-no! Not you.” He faked a smile. “Our dog . . . we used to have a dog, but eventually she died after a few months we adopted her.”

“Oh, I’m sorry about that.”

Jongin chuckled. “You shouldn’t be sorry. It was a long time ago and I bet Luhan hyung already moved on.”

“But, I still want to state things clearly. Is Luhan a woman in disguised?” I questioned again.

“No. Of course not.” Jongin grinned. “I’ve been with hyung for the rest of my life. He’s a man, I guarantee you.”

Jongin is my current best friend. He is the person who is currently holding the title ‘Jiyoung’s best friend’ because of the lack of communication between me and my friends. The seniors a.k.a Victoria, Sunyoung and Amber are busy with college entrance exams while Jinri and Soojung are busy socializing with others.

I’m not jealous or whatnot. Jinri and Soojung can befriend anyone as long as I’m still their friend. I let them be with whoever they want as long as our relationship won’t get damaged because I treasure our friendship.

“Well, I have another question in mind. Why are you calling Luhan your hyung?” This time I try to keep my eyes on his eyes, but for some reasons I can’t. My eyes kept staring at my hands.

“Well he is older, so I call him hyung.” He answered calmly.

“By how many minutes?”

“Minutes?” He raised a brow.

“Yeah, I thought the two of you were twins?”

“Oh . . .” He looks confused. “We’re not?”

“Huh?”

“Luhan is older than me by . . . uh . . . two years?” He smiles, but yet again it was a fake one. I can tell. “He stopped schooling in China for two years when he resumed on studying he decided to study with me at a same year level.”

Why do I feel that he is lying?

I shrug that thought off. Jongin isn’t the kind of person who would lie to me.
