Soojae pov 

Following closely behind Choa and Chanyeol unto the field we are welcomed with motherf*ckers and lint er insults being thrown from across the field 

Eye. Roll.

Not even 10 minutes together and there is already an argument. Or should I said a yellingment. 

The biggest surprise is that is was yet another one of the school most prized unofficial official couples, Luhan and Xiumin.

What isn’t a surprise is Luhan is already taking off his shirt.

He never misses a chance to be shirtless in front of Sehun. The boy won’t give that chance up for anyone. Not even if Bff Minseok

By the time I jogged over to XiuHan they were already in engaged in a shoving match. 

Now I’ve know Luhan for most of my life and although I have only known Minseok for 2 short years ; I know these two don’t fight about just anything. 

 But I can tell from this fight is that Luhan said some smart sh%t 

“ Let’s just get this over with !! I know for damn sure I’m not going on your team! I’ll shown you what a REAL captain does. Baekhyun. I’m the leader now ,Round this sh%t” Xiumin said well more like growled. 

“A real captain? You can captain these nu-“ 

“Lu Han!” I scream as I stomped closer to 

  him. 

No one needed this to get any uglier and if Luhan said anything else minseok would for sure punch him and whatever the last word of that sentence was. 

“Luhan what the hell is up? Why are you and Minseok fighting? “ I said pulling his arm as I bring him off to the side of the makeshift shield. 

“Ouch Jae bird you are bruising the beauty ! It’s not my fault ! I didn’t ask to be captain I’m just a better player than him !”

Even with minseok yelling more insults in the distance I still manage to keep Luhan focused on me. 

I don’t get paid enough for this. Or at all

“First off assh*le I hope you didn’t say that you him. You know minseok is an amazing player and after his injury it was hard for him to get back on the field. So don’t discredit him jerk wad.” 

“But jae-“

“Shut up Luhan. You know damn well he would be an amazing captain and if it weren’t for that injury you may not have had the chance to be the amazing captain that you are now. Sit down. Be humble. “ 

At this point I gathered a small audience of Choa and Chanyeol keeping a safe distance 

“Okay rude , so you just gonna keep interru-“

Yet again cutting Luhan off cause this boy needs a scolding 

“You are both amazing players. Why did you dismiss him and treat him like a piece of poop that is one of your best friends lu !” 

Fumming at this point because sometimes Luhan doesn’t know when he crosses the line. I know he hurt Minseok feelings. 

“jeez Soojae, you don’t think I know that? I was just kidding but he got so touchy and then he called me a ert...which is FALSE”

“Luhan you are a ert”

“No I’m not”

“Luhan , I know about the shower video audition you made only certain someone had to have before joining the team” 

Yes. I know a lot about Luhan. 

Nervously looking around Luhan slapped his hand over my mouth. 

“Jae comm on man shhh keep it down. “

Smacking his hand away because who in the world knows where it has been , I pulled him down to my level so we were eye to eye 

“ you.will.apologize.”

Doing his signature eye roll Luhan agreed and attempted to walk in Minseok direction before I grabbed his hand 

“Not yet you idiot, you insulted the man. 

Just give him time to take his anger out.            Everyone else is getting ready. Go put your shirt back so so you can pick people for your team” I feel like the whole damn group is filed with children and I’m babysitting 

“what is the point Xiumin doesn’t want to be on my team so we are bout to loose anyways ...plus I uhm ripped my shirt..so uhm”

Yet again rolling my eyes at how ridiculous Luhan is.

“Fine just play with out a shirt but that is even more skin exposed for Min to assault” with a big grin on my face I heels to join everyone else.

Before I walked too far away I heard a shuffling through the grass.

Catching a glimpse of Choa as she pushed Chanyeol out of the bush where they were hiding ; Chanyeol shuffled his feet toward the deer as he tired to mend his ripped up shirt

That is when I heard it. 

Something I never thought I’d hear

“ I would like to be on your team Luhan. Or like you partner or mate uhm but not like that unless you want to be my partner but I have ask my mum first but uhm can I play on your team and protect you. “ Chanyeol said fumbling on his words staring at the ground. 

I’m not sure if Chanyeol just offered to be on Luhan ‘s team , be a shield or take him in a date but either way
