A couple hours later …..

Ravi POV

I followed the directions to the address Ken gave me from my GPS. The whole ride was silent, and you could feel some sort of tense in the air. I looked over to see Ken leaning on the side of the car, watching the scenery go by. He’s been like that the whole ride so far. I figured he must be in deep thought about something, so I decided to ask. “Hey, you okay?” I said breaking the silence.

“Hmm, oh … yeah I’m fine just thinking” He said looking at me before turning his attention back to the scenery.

“What are you thinking about? Maybe I could help.”

“It’s nothing really, but we should be coming up to the house now. It’s the first one on the right.” He said leaning back in his seat and pointing over at the house. As soon as we arrived, I was struck with awe as I looked at the house. It was completely stunning; I wonder how N hyung was able to afford something like this. I pulled up in the driveway and parked the car. I opened the trunk as we got out getting our bags. “This place is amazing.”

“Thank you and I know what you thinking and no N hyung didn’t pay anything for it.”

“Did you pay for it?”

“I own it” He said grabbing his bags out of the trunk, making his way to the house. “You own this? But how?”

“My parents got it for me for my 18^th birthday. Me and N hyung used to come by here all the time when we needed a little vacation.”

“Why don’t you guys just move in here instead of paying rent?” I said helping him get the rest of the bags out the trunk, before closing the trunk and heading into the house. “You know we never really thought about it. The apartment we live in is like our first home together, so it has some meaning to it. Come on I’ll show you to your room.” He said grabbing his stuff and beckoning me to follow him. I took time to admire the place as we headed up the stairs. If he has a place like this, then maybe he’s rich. My thoughts stopped when he stopped at a door. “Here we are” He said as he opened the door.

“Nice, so Ken can I ask you something?” I said sitting my bags down over by the bed.

“I guess it won’t hurt.”

“If your parents bought you this house, does that mean you guys are rich?”

“Not necessarily. I mean we have some wealth, but that doesn’t mean we’re filthy rich.” He said making his way out of the room. I followed him across the hall to his room as he sat his things down. “What do your parents do?”

Ken's Room

“They go around the world and help out people, and are the head of many organizations. N hyung’s parents travel along with them as well.”

“Don’t you miss them?”

“They come and visit us every once and a while.” He said starting to unpack. I looked around the room before my eyes landed on a picture frame by his bed. I picked it up looking at it. It was a picture of him and some other guy, and they looked really happy. “Who’s this?” I asked showing him the picture. His eyes widened before he took the picture away throwing it in a drawer. “A part of my past I’d like to forget.”

“Was he your boyfriend?”

“You know you ask a lot of questions.” He said crossing his arms.

“Sorry, it’s just I wanted to get to know you a little more, since we’ll be living together for the next two weeks. I didn’t mean to upset you or anything.”

“It’s fine, and yes that WAS my boyfriend.” He said sitting down on the bed as I sat beside him. “Did something happen?”

“I really don’t feel comfortable talking to you about this.”

“We’ll if you don’t talk about it, then it might eat away at you forever.”

“Such wise words coming from someone who gapes at me like a fish out of water.” He chuckled

“Hey!!! I wasn’t gaping.” I said in my defense.

“Don’t think I didn’t notice the way you look at me Ravi.” He said looking at me with a knowing look. The next set of words that came out of my mouth, had me swearing at myself.

“Maybe I’m interested in you.” I said

“Your joking right” He said crossing his arms.

“What If I’m not joking? What if I’m interested in you? What if you’re the only thing that’s been going through my mind?” I said starting to get closer to him with each question.

“Don’t say such pointless things Ravi.” He said looking down at his feet as his arms dropped down to his sides.

“It’s not pointless” I said turning his head towards me. Soon our eyes met and it felt like the world was standing still. Before I knew what I was doing I closed the gap between us. His soft plush lips against mines, it felt like fireworks were going off. Soon I pulled away from him when I realized what I was doing. “Ken I…”

 “You should go …. I still need to finish unpacking.” He said getting up going over to his closet. I was going to apologize again but he cut me off.

 “Please… Ravi” He said not even looking at me. I stared at him for a while before leaving. I saw Leo hyung leaving his room, so I walked over to him. “Leo hyung can I talk to you?”

“Sure Ravi, what about?” He said as we made our way downstairs to the kitchen.

“I did something I probably shouldn’t have.” I said sitting at the island.

“And what’s that?”

“I kissed Ken.”

N POV

After witnessing the scene I returned to my room. What did I just witness? Did Ken really feel something for Ravi? They’ve only known each other for two weeks and already they’re kissing. I passed Leo in the hallway as he said he was going to go and get something to eat. I nodded as I walked in my room and sat on the bed. I started to unpack my things, and put them where they belonged. My thoughts were still on Ken. I still remember that day 2 years ago. I know Ken couldn’t have forgotten it that quick. After I finished packing I made my way downstairs to the kitchen. When I walked in I saw Ravi and Leo talking. As soon as I walked in the conversation stopped.

“Am I interrupting something?” I said opening the fridge to get some yogurt. I could see the pleading look in Ravi’s eyes before Leo shook his head and turned to me.

“Ravi did something he felt like he shouldn’t have done.”

“Oh and what’s that?” I said trying to play dumb.

“I kissed Ken.” He said looking down.

“I know… I saw you guys when we got here.” I said as he looked up at me with shock. “You shouldn’t think about it too much. Jae went through a tough time a couple years ago and he’s not really ready for a relationship just yet. He might try to distance himself from you, but don’t take it to heart.

“What happened? Did it have something to do with his ex?” Ravi asked as I sat beside him.

“How do you know about his ex?”

“I saw a picture of them in his room. When I asked him about it, he took the photo and stuffed it in a drawer and said ‘It was a part of his past he wanted to forget’.”

“When he feels comfortable enough he’ll tell you about it maybe. It’s not my place to tell you something that I have no rights to.” I said opening my yogurt and eating a spoonful. Soon Ravi’s phone rang as he said he had to take it, and that he probably wants to know where he is. We told him to make sure he doesn’t let Leo’s agent know where we are. I got up and threw my empty yogurt cup away before heading towards the patio. Leo decided he was going to take a nap upstairs. When I walked out on the patio, I saw Ken drawing in his sketch pad. I haven’t seen him draw let alone paint in a while now.

“Jae, you ok?” I said making my way over to him and sitting beside him.

“Hmm …. Oh yeah hyung. Just felt like drawing. Did you get settled in?” He said looking up at me then back down at his pad.

“Yeah… Jae I saw you and Ravi earlier. DO you want to talk about it?”

“What’s there to talk about?” He said looking up at me.

“Did he force you to kiss him?”

“No… not really. It just… it just happened.” He said putting his sketch pad away.

“What he say to you?”

“He was stuff like he was interested in me and that I’m all he can think about.”

“Maybe you should give him a chance? Who knows maybe he’s the one for you.”

“But you know I’m not ready for another relationship.”

“Jaehwan, Ravi is not him. You have to forget the past and just move on. Ravi won’t hurt you like he did. Besides if he does, I’ll just have to kick his .” I said as he started to laugh. “At least I got you to smile.”

“Thanks hyung. I’ll think about it.” He said as he turned his attention back to his drawing.” I nodded before going upstairs. My phone rang as I looked at the caller ID as it read ‘Leo’s Agent’. I rolled my eyes before answering. “Cha Hakyeon speaking”

“Look, where’s Leo?”

“He’s sleeping, is there something I can help you with?”

“No it’s fine.” He said as he hung up. I heard Leo’s phone ring as I looked at it then hit ignore. I looked over at Leo to make sure he was still sleeping. I found myself staring at him in awe. He’s even cuter and more handsome while he’s sleeping. I took his phone with me as I sat on the lounger in the middle of the room. Calls from Mr. Kim kept coming in so I ignored them all. Soon I closed my eyes listening to the sounds of the ocean and the wind before falling asleep.

Leo's Room

Leo POV

Hours later I woke up. I looked at the clock and noticed it was already 4PM. I sat up stretching as I got off the bed. I think that was the best nap I ever had so far. I looked around my room when I noticed N lying on the lounger. I walked over and covered him up with a blanket. As I stood up I start to admire him. He looked so peaceful sleeping. I saw him holding two phones in his hand. I noticed one of them were mine. I gently took it from him as I noticed 50 missed calls from Mr. Kim. He must have been making sure I wasn’t being disturbed. I smiled before putting my phone in my pocket. I gently brushed a strand of hair out of his face as I felt a shock go through me. I couldn’t help but admire his sleeping form a little longer. ‘What is wrong with me?’ I thought as I continued to run my fingers through his hair. He started to stir as I pulled my hand back running it through my hair. “L-Leo, What’s…?”

“I woke up and saw you were sleeping so I went to cover you.”

“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to fall asleep here.” He said trying to get up as I pushed him back down.

“Rest, you deserve it. I know you been trying to keep Mr. Kim from disturbing me. Thank you.”

“You’re Welcome.” He said as our eyes met. I found myself captivated by them. He started to sit up without breaking our eye contact. My hand slowly made its way to his cheek, as I gently caressed it. I watched him lean into my touch. I felt our face inch closer and closer together as our noses rubbed against each other. “Leo... w-what are you?” I leaned in connecting our lips gently, as not to scare him. His lips fit perfectly with mine. I moved my lips against his slowly as he responded. Soon I snapped back to my senses before I pulled away, removing my hand. “S-Sorry” I said looking down. What have I done?!

“Leo… look at me.” He said with worry in his voice. I slowly looked up trying to advert my eyes from his before staring back at him. “I’m sorry N, I don’t know what came over me. I didn’t mean to –“ He stopped my words putting a finger to my lips.

“Don’t apologize, but why?”

“I don’t know what came over me. I woke up seeing you sleeping here and when I covered you up I found myself captivated by you. You’re really beautiful”

“Don’t kid yourself. There’s nothing beautiful about me. “ He said looking at me.

“To me you are, and if anyone says different they are wrong.” I said caressing his cheek.

“You barely know me.”

“I want to know you”

“We’ve only known each other for 2 weeks.”

“I believe in love at first sight.”

“Don’t say things you don’t mean”

“I mean it” I was about to kiss him again before a knock came to the door. N got up quickly answering it to see Ken standing there. “I’m sorry if I’m interrupting something-“

“No Jae what’s wrong?”

“I was going to go take a walk on the beach and I was looking for Ravi to talk to him but he’s not around so I was wondering—“

“I’ll come” N said cutting him off again before he dragged Ken  out of the room. I ran a hand through my hair before getting up and walking over to the balcony. I watched as Ken and N ran along the beach before they slowed down to a walk. I ghosted my hand over my lips before closing my eyes. ‘Looks like me and Ravi are in the same boat. What’s happening to me…’. I thought as I leaned against the rail sliding down to the floor, putting my head in my hands.

N POV

I grabbed Jaehwan’s hand as we ran along the beach. Thoughts about what just happened between me and Leo flooded my head. I can’t fall for one of my clients. I swore to myself that I wouldn’t fall in love with anyone I worked with. Soon we stopped running and started walking till we found a nice spot on the beach to just sit down and relax. I lost myself in thoughts of Leo before Jaehwan spoke up.

“Did something happen between you and hyung?”

“How did—“

“I know that look. It’s the look I had this morning after…. Did he hurt you?”

“No he just… he kissed me and… I couldn’t help but kiss him back.”

“You like Leo hyung?”

“I don’t know. Right now I’m confused. I mean I swore to myself I wouldn’t fall for someone I worked with.”

“Some promises are made to be broken. Leo hyung is a really nice guy in my opinion.”

“You think so?”

“I know so. If only he could get rid of that —“

“Language”

“Butthead of an agent. I’m going to see if Minnie hyung can look into getting some evidence on Mr. Kim”

“We have to consult with Leo first. I know he wouldn’t mind but still.”

“Okay.” He said looking back into the sunset. I started off before I remembered something from earlier. “So are you going to give Ravi a chance?”

“I don’t know if my heart is ready just yet. He’d probably run away after I tell him about my past.” He said not taking his eyes away from the sunset.

“I’m sure if you tell him he would understand.”

“Maybe..” I watched him get up brushing himself off. “We should head back, it’s starting to get dark… you should give Leo hyung a chance also.” Was the last thing he said before running to the house. I got up brushing myself off before running after him. Maybe he’s right. Maybe I should give him a chance. I’ll put some thought into it, but for now I’m going to enjoy our vacation.
