“It’s just a show? You always use that… that excuse, Leeteuk! I’ve had enough already. For all I know one day you might be crashing your damn lips onto hers!”

“It is just a show, Taeyeon. You know it! Before I enlist into the army I want to present my best to all the fans out there!”

“Yes, your best… your best is exhausting yourself! You have a million responsibilities to handle—don’t stop me—and you’ve been hospitalized before. You’re tired all the time; you have black circles around your eyes… Your best is killing you, don’t you see that?”

“…”

“Look, I’m sorry for flaring up about Sora-ssi. I apologize. I shouldn’t have yelled at you for that. But think about it… Teuk… please think about it. I know you can’t take yourself out of these commitments… But don’t keep any problems you have to yourself, okay? Take care of yourself…”

“Taeyeon, please—” He grabs her hand, but she shrugs out of his grip, frowning.

“I don’t want to talk anymore. I… I have schedules.”

She walks away, out of the room and slamming the door behind her. He stays, knowing that it’d be better not to follow her.

“Taeng—” Donghae looks at her worriedly.

She takes a deep breath, tears blurring her gaze, and manages a smile. “I’m fine, Donghae.”

“I know you’re not fine… but you don’t want to talk about it, do you?” He asks just to confirm.

Taeyeon nods. “I’ll be… fine soon. Take care of Leeteuk for me, will you? Make sure he doesn’t… do anything stupid.”

“He won’t. I’ll make sure he won’t.”

“Me too!” Eunhyuk adds from the side, saluting Taeyeon. She chuckles bitterly, before leaving their dorm.

“Taeyeon’s really unhappy, isn’t she?” Eunhyuk sighs, after they’re sure Taeyeon’s left.

“Teukie hyung too… It’s like… Like they love each other, and obviously they still care… But… Everything’s so complicated now… What with Sora and all…”

Eunhyuk shakes his head. “Love is complicated.”

“It sure is, Hyuk. It sure is.”
