“KIM! Oh my beloved sister, it’s been a long time”, Van greeted Kim. SISTER? THEY ARE SIBLINGS?! I was

shocked when Van held me in my waist and dragged me near Kim

 

“Can you introduce me to this lovely lady?”, what is Kim talking about. Why is she asking like she don’t

know me?

 

“ Oh yeah. Kim I would like you to meet Pie. Pie this is Kim, my sister”, Van happily Introduced me.

 

“Pleasure to meet you”, Kim gently held my hand and kiss it. I just got froze. I don’t know how to react.

Is she mad at me?

 

“You have a very beautiful date Van”, she complimented as if it’s the first she met me. I don’t know

what she’s thinking

 

“Mr. Van, your dad wants to talk to you”, a guy came

 

“Oh, I  have to leave you two for a while please enjoy”, then he kiss me on my cheek. I got really shock

but I am more afraid that Kim is mad but when I look at her she just smile and nod to her brother

 

“Kim., I..”, I was about to explain

 

“come with”, she cut me

She drag me upstairs . There are so many rooms here. I notice a lot of paintings in the and a very big

family portrait. We enter to a room . It’s very beautiful. It is a modern contemporary type of room. It has

a veranda that can be seen through the large mirror door. The furniture look elegant. The sweet aroma

can also be smelled inside this room. As I roam my eyes I saw a Portrait of Kim hanged above the bed. Then my eyes landed of to Kim who is just staring blankly at me. Waiting for me to divert my focus to her

 

“Kim I can explain”, I utter as I got near her

 

“Go on, I’m waiting” she answered. Now I could that she is mad

 

 

FLASHBACK

 

“Van?”, I never thought that I will see him again

 

“How’s life Pie?”, he smile widely

 

“I’m good. How about you?” he became man already unlike the last time that we met

 

“I’m great. You look more gorgeous”, he said

 

“Thanks P’Van! Oh would you like to go inside the café. I’m sure Aunt Inn and Fern wants to see you”, I

invited him inside

 

He put his arm in my shoulder which made me uncomfortable but I decided to let it be because I don’t

want to make things awkward between the two of us

 

“Aunt Inn, Van’s here”, I said

 

“Oh Van. It’s been a long time. Now you look at you, you became taller”, aunt Inn was so happy as he

greeted Van

 

 

“Thank You Aunt Inn, You look younger”, Van

 

“Oh Really?”, Aunt Inn giggled

 

“Fern! What’s up?”, he greeted Fern

 

“Hi P’van!”, Fern waved

 

“van please take your seat. Pie accompany him. I’m gonna brought some foods okay?”, Aunt Inn smiled

and went to the kitchen

 

“Aunt Inn sure still doesn’t change”, He smile

 

“What brought you here P’Van?”, I ask him

 

“actually Pie I’m here to ask you a favor’’, he said

“What is it?’’, He look serious

“hmm. Pie would you accompany me to my welcome party tonight?”, I don’t know if I should agree to this

“err. P’Van I don’t know I..”, I don’t know how will I refuse

“why? Will your boyfriend get mad?”, I ask sadly

“No, It’ not like that.”, I tried to explain

“Then come with me. You’re the only friend I have here. Please?”, I don’t think it’s a good idea. Cause Kim might got mad

“But , I don’t have anything to wear”, I said as an alibi

“That’s easy Pie. Count on me” he wink

“Fine, but I need to make a call first”,  I took out my phone. I was about to cal Kim but a customer suddenly bump into me which made my phone fell

“ ”, I whispered. I pick it from the floor. How great It’s broken

“Are you ok Pie. I’m sorry about your phone. Would you like to use mine?”, he kindly offer his but the

best thing is I forgot Kim’s number

 

I think there’s wrong accompanying him. He’s a friend after all. I can introduce him to Kim later

 

“no thanks Van. When will we go to the party?’’, I ask him. He throws his fist in the air like a little kid

 

 

“haha. Van you’re acting like a kid. We have to ask Aunt Inn first”, I drag him to the Kitchen

 

“ Aunt Inn, can I bring this lovely girl to my party” he ask Aunt Inn

 

 

“No Van. Not until you eat this chocolate that I prepare for you”, Aunt Inn act like a strict mother which

made us all laugh

 

“Bring it on Aunt Inn”, Van get the cake and at it. after finishing the cake we rode his car and went to a

stall. He called a designer and ask her to accompany me find a dress. After choosing the dress that I will

wear, a group of makeup artist came.

 

Everything was finished after an hour. Van literally dropped his jaw as I walk to him

 

“so, how do I look?”, ask him

 

“ Perfect”, he whispered and kiss my hand

 

I felt uncomfortable. Kim will be mad if she knew about this but Van is just a friend for me

 

“ Shall we go now my lady?”, he ask.

 

 

 Oh Van I’m no your lady.  I protested in my mind

 

I just nod and give him a fake smile

 

After we went out, the car that we use earlier is gone

 

“Van where’s your car” I ask him

 

‘’I already sent it to the mansion”, he said

 

“then how are we going to the party?? Walk while I’m wearing hills” , I pouted

 

“haha. No silly. You look like a Princess. We need a ride that would fit to you” He wink

 

A limousine suddenly came.

 

“Shall we?” he open the car door for me

 

We talk inside the limo. About his travels, experience , school stuffs

He suddenly ask I already have a boyfriend but when I was about to answer, the limo stop and a guard

open the car door. Van gently assists me out of the limo. He held my hand until we got inside

I got conscious because I can see the eyes of everyone that are laying on me. Based from their attires and looks, I can say that they belong to the high society which made me more uncomfortable.

“don’t worry Pie. They just can’t get enough of your beauty”, van tried to lighten up my mood

“Ladies and Gentlemen, a Pleasant Evening to all of You. All of us are gathered

here to witness the Grand Come Back of  Mr. Van Jitaleela . To introduce the

Man of the Night, let us call on  one of the most successful and richest business

tycoon in Thailand, Mr. Tim Jitaleela,  let us give him a round of applause.”, VAN is a JITALEELA? I though his surname is Yupanun?? And JITALEELA? Does this means that Kim and Van are relatives? Is Kim here?

“Good Evening my fellow friends and business partners. As you all know, I’m

getting old but still kickin” He’s dad crack a joke. I laugh

 

“He’s a joker”, Van told me while laughing

 

“In my age, I’m starting to worry who would manage the business when I

retired. Who would be responsibly and dedicatedly take over my place. But

thank God he gave me a very wonderful son. He went to Harvard and finish his

Business Course and even took his Master’s Degreel. It’s an Honor to have a Son like

him. A man to stand up for the company and continue the legacy of the

Jitaleela. Everyone, I would like to introduce to you pride and honor, the next

president  of Jitaleela Industries, My Son, Mr. Van Yupanun Jitaleela” He

proudly said .

“Excuse me for a while Pie”, van said and walk up the stage

 

“Good evening everybody. It’s an honor to know that all of you spare your time

in giving me a warm welcome. I’ve been staying at US for 7 years.”, Van started his speech as I roam my eyes around hoping to find Kim but I failed to see her

 

“ I miss Thailand so much, but there’s someone that I’ve missed the most here

and I want to give her the credit as my inspiration while I’m studying abroad”,

wait why is Van looking at me like that? I can feel that everyone is looking at me also. He suddenly went down the stage. He approach me and drag me to the stage

“Everyone, Please meet Pie Mindara, my date for tonight”, he said while holding my waist. Kim will be furious if she’s here

 

End of Flashback

 

“Hey Kim, I’m sorry okay? Please don’ be mad”, I told her

“…”, She just stare at me. Aisshh

“Kimmy”, I whinced, shaking her arm

“He likes you” She suddenly blurted

“But I love you”, I said Unconciously

“What?”, Kim suddenly become enlightened. Oh well I guess it’s already to tell her

“I said I love you’’, I whisper as I climb up my arms into her neck

“What?I think I didn’t here it clearly because of the music downstai….’’, I kiss her on the lip

 

“is that enough? To confirm what you’ve heard??’’, I smile to her

 

She also smiled and get a remote. She click it then suddenly the music played “thinking out loud

by ed sheeran” and the lights suddenly died leaving a dim light opened. Then she come near

me again and ask me for a dance

 

We didn’t talk until the music finished. We just cherish the dance with my arms around her neck

and her hands in my waist. We close our eyes, while are foreheads touch

 

Right after the song, she magically took out a rose behind my neck. She knelt down holding the

rose while looking at me

 

“I love you Pie Mindara, will you be my Girl?” she ask

 

“I love you too. And Yes Kim, I want to be your Girl”, she got up and kiss me deeply but gentle, I

tiptoe because she’s tall. After the sweet kiss she hug me tightly

 

 

 

“Kim please don’t be jealous with Van . he’s just a friend. I’m willing to tell him that we’re

together if you’re not comfortable with him getting close with me” I cup her face. I don’t want her

to be upset

 

 

“You don’t have to do that Pie. Not now” ,she said

 

“but why? He’s your brother right?” I ask her

 

“Half brother”, she said

 

“Oh”, I don’t know what to say. I’m also afraid that I have offended her

 

“just let it be for a while. Besides, he doesn’t know that we knew each other right?’’, she kiss my

forehead

 

“oh yeah. Why did you pretend that you don’t know me earlier?”, I blurted. I’m dying to ask this

to her the earlier

 

 

‘’because I don’t want things to get awkward. I don’t think it’s nice for him to know that the girl that

she’s trying to court is already in my property line”, she said  while grinning.

 

“Property line huh”, I playfully hit her chest

 

“let’s just continue pretending for a while okay? Until I find the right way to say

it to him , okay baby?”,

 

she cup my face and kiss my lips. I don’t like the idea of us pretending that we

don’t know each other but she’s got a point. We might hurt Van’s feeling and I

trust her a lot

 

“Let’s go back to the party”, I invite her

 

“Let’s just stay here baby” she said and kiss me again.

 

The sweet gentle kisses turned into a passionate one. She my lips which

brought shivers to my spine.

 

I wrap my arms around her neck . her hands roam around my back. I felt a

weird sensation in my body as she kiss my neck.

 

I’m starting to like it but she suddenly stop. I look at her with dismay but she

just laugh. My cheeks burned like a tomato so I push her  and cover my face.

She hug me tight

 

“it’s too early for that babe. And like what I’ve said earlier, I don’t want to be a

father at young age”, she whispered and giggle

 

“whatever Jitaleela. I need to pee”, I pout,  she smile I pointed me the bathroom

door
