NIGHT at The Jitaleela Mansion…

 

KIM’s POV

I really hope this party ends soon.  Damn. I’m here at the middle of the party

drinking champagne while talking to some guest, actually they are the one  

who’s purusing the conversation while I just nod lazily and unterestedly with

them.

 

“ Hey man!”, I look at the owner of the voice and saw Mario together with Shin

and Ter

 

“excuse me guys. Please enjoy the night” I fake a smile to the  hypocrites

 

“Thank God you guys are here already. I don’t really feel talking and mingling

with the hypocites” I walk to them

 

“we know that bro” Mario said as he take a wine from the waiter

 

“Oh by the way, where’s your brother?” Shin ask

 

“I don’t know and I don’t give a damn but maybe he’s still in hell trying to

remove his horns for the party”, I casually said that made the three morons

laugh

 

“Ladies and Gentlemen, a Pleasant Evening to all of You. All of us are gathered

here to witness the Grand Come Back of  Mr. Van Jitaleela . To introduce the

Man of the Night, let us call on  one of the most successful and richest business

tycoon in Thailand, Mr. Tim Jitaleela,  let us give him a round of applause.”

 

Everyone started to clap their hands.Man of the Night huh?? I scoff. 

 

My father walk up to the stage with a wide smile on  his face

“Good Evening my fellow friends and business partners. As you all know, I’m

getting old but still kickin” He crack a joke which made everybody laugh, well

except for me

 

“In my age, I’m starting to worry who would manage the business when I

retired. Who would be responsibly and dedicatedly take over my place. But

thank God he gave me a very wonderful son. He went to Harvard and finish his

Business Course and even took his Masteral. It’s an Honor to have a Son like

him. A man to stand up for the company and continue the legacy of the

Jitaleela. Everyone, I would like to introduce to you pride and honor, the next

president  of Jitaleela Industries, My Son, Mr. Van Yupanun Jitaleela” He

proudly  said . Van walk up the middle of stage while my father gave him a

glass of champagne.

 

 

“Good evening everybody. It’s an honor to know that all of you spare your time

in giving me a warm welcome. I’ve been staying at US for 7 years.”, Van started

giving his speech. I’m still hurt about the huge differences on how my father

treats me from him, although I hate him. There’s still times when I want to ask

him what happenned. To know his side,tohear a good reason why he did that to

mom.

 

“ I miss Thailand so much, but there’s someone that I’ve missed the most here

and I want to give her the credit as my inspiration while I’m studying abroad”,

he said as he stare at a girl wearing a white dress. And based from the way he

at the girl, I can say that he really likes her. The girl is backfacing me so I can’t

see her face yet.

 

“ Your brother looks like a madly inlove dog”, Ter whispered. I elbowed  and

laugh . I was about to drink my wine when I heard a familiar name

 

“Everyone, Please meet Pie Mindara, my date for tonight”, he said as he held

Pie’s waist at the stage

 

W H AT  T H E  !

 

I was about to go the stage and smash his face infront of everybody but mario, shin and ter held me.

“Bro, take it easy please. Don’t make a scene here”, Mario tried to calm me

PIE’S POV

I felt embarassed with Van’s introduction to me. This afternoon, I was really

surprised that he already comeback. Its been 7 years when I last saw him. He’s

like a brother to me back then, though Fern always teased us

 

Flashback..

 

“ Ouch”, I fell from the bike. I started crying because my knee is bleeding

 

“PIE!” , Van ran to me. He’s the one teaching me how to bike. It’s my fault that I

fell because I ask him to let go

 

“I’m sorry Pie.”, I can see the regret in his face

 

“It’s not your fault P’Van” I comfort him

 

“  Come here I’ll give you a piggyback ride”, he bent down and I hop on his back

I always feel comfortable when I’m with him that time. I even consider the

thought that I had a crush on him when I’m in puberty. Aside from Kim, he’s  

the only guy I got extremely close with. Before he went to US, he even made a Promise

 

Sunday night, its raining when he went to the Café. He was soaked in wet that time

 

“what’s the matter Van? And what happened to your nose” I worriedly asked him

 

“Pie, I’m going to US to have a good education. But when I come back. I will

marry you” he kissed my cheek and run away. That’s the last time I saw him.

 

“Hey Pie are you alright?” , Van suddenly enterrupted my thoughts.

 

“Sorry I spaced out Van”, I apologetically said but he just smile

 

“It’s okay. Do you want something to eat? I’ll get you some”, he warmly offered

 

“No, I’m fine actually I..” I was enterrupted by to a familiar voice

 

“Van, it’s been a long time. Won’t You like to introduce me your DATE”, I look at the owner of the voice.
