She held the gun tightly in her sweaty palms as she ran down the hall to the last door.  Her boots squeaked against the glossy floor.  

"Hurry!  She went that way!" she heard voices shout.

At last, she pushed the door open, only to reveal a large balcony.  She was trapped.  Thoughts raced through her head as she looked around, panicked, for a route of escape.  

"We've got you now," a gruff voice snickered.

Without thinking, she threw herself over the balcony.  The her hair whipped through the chilly air as she plunged further and further to the ground.  She ed her feet forward and landed hard.  She winced upon the impact and hurriedly raced towards the shadows.

A man with slicked hair stepped out onto the balcony calmly.  He hit the man's head hard.  "She got away again?"

The other lowered his head.  "I'm sorry."

"You're useless, completely useless," the man twisted his ring nervously.
