Chapter 17: Confess

Yeojin's POV

“WHY DON’T YOU JUST MARRY ME?” What did he just said? MARRY HIM? What was he thinking? I didn’t hear him wrong, right?

“Wh...What? Mar... Marry you?” I stuttered. He looked at me with his calm eyes and then he nodded his head slightly.

“Why do you look so surprised? Is it wrong?” he asked me like this was nothing, not really a serious matter.

I was speechless with his question. OMG, WHAT SHOULD I DO? DID HE REALLY MEAN IT? I’m confused.

He was still staring at me. I felt so uneasy by the way he looked at me and I could feel my face was blushing so hard right now. I just looked down, didn’t dare to look at him. My ice-cream was getting melt and I already lost appetite by his sudden proposal. Was he really in love with me?

Suddenly he stood up. I looked up my head. He then took my hand and grabbed it tightly. I wonder what happen to him.

“Yeojin, don’t worry. I’m just joking,” he said softly while smiling at me. I released a huge sigh, felt relieved after hearing his words. But I didn’t know why deep inside my heart I could feel a bit disappointed. Am I starting love him?

‘But why not you just marry me? It’s not a bad idea, I thought ’ I heard Donghae was mumbling with himself. Absolutely I can hear it clearly. WAIT!!! THAT MEANS HE DID REALLY MEAN IT. Donghae, I didn’t believe what I’ve heard from your mouth. I could feel butterflies were flying freely in my stomach. I can’t describe this feeling. Happy or scared? I’m happy because I’ve got someone who will love me back but I’m scared what if we’re not meant to each other?

He then pulled me with him, made me woke up from my thought. Both of us went to the playground. He then took me to one of the swing.

“Sit here,” he ordered me. I felt hesitate at first but then he slowly pulled me made me sit on the swing. He swung me from the back. I was shocked with his sudden action but then it slowly turns comfortable. I smiled happily and closed my eyes, trying to remember and keep this “valuable time” with him in my mind.

But then the swing stopped suddenly. I opened my eyes and turned back. Donghae was just smiling. I wonder what was going on.

“It’s your turn to swing me now. I also want to ride it,” he said while grinning. But then he pouted his mouth. LEE DONGHAE YOU’RE SO CHILDISH!!! I just smiled seeing him like that and shook my head. He looks really cute pouting like that.

As I tried to stand up, my leg was trapped by something. I then fell down and my knee got bruised. It was really hurt. I whined as I touched my knee. Donghae quickly came to me and touched my knee too. I looked at him and his face looks so worried. I felt touching seeing him like that.

“Yeojin, are you okay?” he asked me worriedly while blowing the bruised on my knee. I just nodded my head, signing that I’m okay but the reality I’m really not. It was really painful.

“You should be careful next time. I don’t want this kind of thing happen to you again,” he said while still blowing my knee. I didn’t noticed I was smiling widely hearing that.

“Oppa, why do you care so much about me?” I asked him suddenly. He looked up his head, probably shocked with my question. ME TOO. WHAT’S WRONG WITH ME? How can that question split out from my mouth?

“I... I mean.. I’m just your maid,” I stuttered and turned my face to another direction, didn’t dare to make eye contact with him. I could feel my face was red and hot right now.

“Because... because YOU’RE REALLY SPECIAL TO ME,” he answered while smiling shyly.

“Special?” I was confused. What did he mean special? I stared at him.

“YES, BECAUSE YOU’RE THE ONE THAT I REALLY LOVE NOW,” he continued and then looked down to the ground. I can see his face was blushing really hard. I just smiled seeing his reaction. I then rubbed his head. He looked up and I mouthed ‘I LOVE YOU TOO’. He started smiling widely.

Donghae’s POV

Those cute kids really made me want to be a father soon. I really love kids and sometimes just seeing at them made my life complete.

I looked at Yeojin and she was enjoying her ice-cream. She looks like a kid. I wiped her lips and she was surprised with my action. She looked at me but I just ignored it.

“Yeojin, don’t you want to get married?” I asked her suddenly. She stopped eating her ice-cream and looked at me weirdly.

“WHY DON’T YOU JUST MARRY ME?” I continued asking her but this times was parted a bit and her eyes were getting bigger. I waited for her answer but she kept silent. Finally I gave up. Maybe this was not a right time.

“Yeojin, don’t worry. I’m just joking,” I said and then took her to the playground. I found an empty swing and asked her to sit. She felt hesitate but I pulled her hand. I swung her from the back. I felt enjoy doing that and the wind blew nicely today. Then, I purposely stopped the swing. She turned back and looked at me curiously.

“It’s your turn to swing me now. I also want to ride it,” I and pouted my mouth. She just smiled seeing me like that. Her smile is enough to make my heart beats like crazy. As she wanted to stand up, suddenly she fell down. She whined while touching her knee. Her knee was hurt. I quickly came to her and blew her bruised. I really didn’t want something bad happened to her. She’s really meaningful to me.

“Oppa, why do you care so much about me?” she suddenly asked me. I was surprised hearing her question.

“I... I mean.. I’m just your maid,” she stuttered and her face was blushing. I just shook my head seeing her like that.

Because... because YOU’RE REALLY SPECIAL TO ME,” I answered. It was really embarrassing to say that words but I knew this was the perfect time to tell her. I can’t endure this feeling anymore. She looks confused with my words.

“YES, BECAUSE YOU’RE THE ONE THAT I REALLY LOVE NOW,” finally I confessed. I looked down my head, didn’t dare to face her. I didn’t know what her reaction was. Suddenly I felt someone rubbed my head. It felt so comfortable. I looked up my head and saw Yeojin was smiling sweetly to me. She then mouthed ‘I LOVE YOU TOO’. YES, I’M SURE SHE MOUTHED ‘I LOVE YOU TOO’ WORDS!!! I felt excited deep inside my heart. I can’t stop smiling now.

“Let me piggyback you,” I said while still smiling. She accepted my offer. We went home happily and none of us spoke, didn’t know what to say till we reached my home.
