Chapter 16: Kid

Donghae’s POV

When will they finish discussing? I’m so tired sitting here and doing nothing. I looked at Yeojin. She looked so serious doing her work. I smiled slightly. Why must she look so cute even she was serious? YOU’RE REALLY CRAZY, LEE DONGHAE!!! Crazy for Yeojin’s love. It was not bored to just look at her. Suddenly, she turned her face to me. I was surprised with her sudden action. She looked at me weirdly but I noticed that her face slowly turned red as I still gazed at her. Maybe she was blushing. SO CUTE!!!

“Thank God we could finish our assignment today,” Jae said suddenly while stretching his hands and head. Yeojin turned her face to Jae after hearing his voice. Me too. Jae’s voice woke us up.

“Y...Yes,” she stuttered. Jae looked at her curiously.

“Yeojin, what’s wrong with you?” he asked her concern with her condition. I could feel my heart and body burnt of jealousy. I stared at Jae but he didn’t notice that.  I’m the one who should ask her like that. Not you!!!

“Nothing, just feel tired but I’m also glad and happy knowing we could  finish our assignment just a day,” she answered while smiling to Jae.

“Oh, I’ve to go now, Yeojin. I got something to do. Donghae, sorry for letting you wait us for a long time but I’m happy to meet you today,” Jae said while smiling to me. I just nodded my head and replied back his smile. BUT I DIDN’T FEEL GREAT MEETING YOU AS LONG AS YOU’RE WITH MY YEOJIN!!!

He then shook my hand and walked away from us. He waved his hand towards me and Yeojin. I looked at Yeojin. She was waving back to Jae. Why must I feel jealous easily nowadays? This is not me.

Then, Yeojin started packing her things. I tried to help her and then she spoke.

“Oppa, you don’t have to help me. I can do this alone,” she said softly smiling sweetly to me.

 “It’s okay, Yeojin. Two people are better than one, right?” I asked her back. She just nodded her head slowly and let me help her. AM I SWEET? YES, YOU’RE, LEE DONGHAE!!!

After finished packing up her things, we slowly walked home together. both of us kept silent, no words came out from our mouth. As we were walking, I saw a bunch of kids were lining up to buy an ice-cream. They look so happy as they could get it. Why the ice-creams look so delicious? I also want one. I gulped. SO CHILDISH!!!

“Yeojin, could you wait here?” I asked her. She just nodded her head and tried to find somewhere to sit. I then ran towards the seller of ice-cream. I lined up together with the kids. OMG, THESE KIDS WERE REALLY CUTE!!! I really wanted to pinch their puffy cheeks. Suddenly, someone pulled my shirt. I looked down and saw a boy was smiling cutely to me. I smiled back to him. He maybe 5 to 6 years old, I thought.

“Uncle, uncle,” he called me with his cute voice. I bent down to him and then lifted him up to my arms. I carried him.

“Yes, dear?” I asked him. His eyes were big and he loves pouted his mouth. That made him looks cuter.

“I want a chocolate ice-cream,” he asked me.

“Oh, you really want it? I’ll buy one for you,” I said to him while smiling.

“I want two,” he said again. Wow, this kid was really greedy!!!

“Dear, it’s not good to eat too much ice-cream. You teeth will destroy because of it and when your teeth totally destroyed, you won’t become a handsome guy someday, like me,” I said to him. LEE DONGHAE, WHY MUST YOU PRAISED YOURSELF EVEN IN FRONT OF A KID?

“Really uncle? Maybe one is enough for me,” he said while looking at me worriedly.

“Good boy,” I smiled to him while pinching his nose. My turn finally came.

“Give me three chocolate ice-creams,” I ordered and the seller just nodded his head, understood my order. I put down the boy from my arms and took the ice-cream from the seller’s hand as he finished made them.

“Here boy your chocolate ice-cream,” I gave him after paying money to the seller.

“Thank you, uncle,” he thanked me and slowly tasted the ice-cream. But then a woman came towards us.

“Min, why must you trouble this uncle?” the woman asked the cute boy in anger tone but I knew she was not really angry to him. Which mothers won’t love their child?

“It’s nothing, ma’am,” I said while smiling to her. She then replied back.

“Min, let’s go home now. Say thank to this uncle,” Min’s mom asked him.

“Thank... Thank you uncle,” Min said while still the ice-cream. They then walked away from me. I just smiled hearing that. WHAT A CUTE BOY!!! OMG, I totally forgot about Yeojin!!! I realised as I could feel the ice-creams were getting melt in my hand. I walked quickly to her and found out she was smiling to me. What? She’s smiling? But why?

“Take it,” I said while giving her one of the ice-cream. She took it and slowly. I was happy seeing her like that.

Yeojin’s POV  

As we were walking home, suddenly Donghae asked me to wait him for a while. I wonder where he was going to do. I searched a place to sit. Today was so hot. I fanned myself. Then, I looked back at Donghae’s direction. I saw he was walking towards the ice-cream stall. HE WANTED TO BUY AN ICE-CREAM? HE’S SO CHILDISH. I didn’t notice I was smiling as I saw him lined up together with the kids.

But then, I saw a cute boy pulled his shirt. Who’s the boy? I thought Donghae will ignore the boy but I was wrong. He then bent down and lifted him up. I didn’t know he likes KID!!! This really surprised me. He was talking to the boy while smiling sweetly to him. I wonder what they’re talking about.

Then, he gave the boy an ice-cream. HE WAS SO NICE!!! HE MIGHT BE A LOVELY DAD TO OUR KIDS ONE DAY!!! I shook my head, realised what I’ve just thought. Yeojin, what are you thinking? Your kids with DONGHAE?  I smiled thinking my foolishness. I saw Donghae was walking towards me while bringing two chocolates ice cream. He was really the best!!! I didn’t know he knew or not but I really love chocolate ice-cream.

He then gave me one and I took it without hesitantly. I it slowly as I got it. I didn’t notice that Donghae was looking at me. Suddenly I could feel someone touched my lips. I was really surprised and looked up my head. Donghae seems didn’t care when I looked at him.

“Thank... thank you,” I thanked her while stuttering.

“You eat like a kid,” he said while smiling widely. His hand still wiped my lips.

“But I’m not a kid,” I denied him. It was so embarrassing when hearing him said that.

“Yeojin, don’t you want to get married?” he suddenly asked me that. I was shocked and stopped eating my ice-cream. I just kept silent. What was he thinking?

“WHY DON’T YOU JUST MARRY ME?” he continued. His word really made me more surprised. I didn’t expect this. I looked at him and he looks serious with his words. This is not a prank, right? I was speechless and my eyes were getting bigger. If it true, OMG, WAS HE PROPOSING TO ME RIGHT NOW??
