Chapter 3

Every day is the same. I wake up, train, eat, train some more, rest for a while, eat, and train, then sleep, and the cycle begins again. I hate this life, but there's nothing I can do to set myself free. My family has been slaves to the clan. Our members are the ones who protect the clan's leader. I'm the next one for our generation. I train every day to become stronger, so that no one can be able to hurt the leader.

The current leader is about to die, and so a new one will arise, but the leader has already been chosen even before their birth. This time it is a girl. A girl with a lot of power. This means that I must become stronger than her to protect her, but I'm tired. I want to get out of this place. I've never met the girl before because she never gets to go out. Tomorrow will finally be the day I meet her. Tomorrow will be the day I stay by her side protecting her for the rest of my rotten days.

I don't think I can do this.

I don't want to do this.

I don't want this fate.

I don't want to fight.

I want to be free.
