Her Letters to Jongin
Dear you,
Are you disappointed? I know, some of you are probably gonna be super disappointed and confused. That is why I am here to save the day and explain!
Alrighty, okay, first things first. In the beginning, it is indicated that Soojung isn’t dead, because in the foreword, when her friend is walking around Soojung’s room, Soojung’s phone is on her desk, which we see later that Sehun called it because no one was answering their phone (ch. 7). Plus, as the girls are getting ready, the mood is a bit too relaxed and they’re having fun to be getting ready for a funeral.
In the flashback of ch. 3, Pink Nail Polish/Black hoodies, Baekhyun mentions “So what? Don’t be depressed because your love of your life with a certain pink head of hair won’t even notice you.” And he was talking about Jongin. So this hinted that Jongin may have liked Soojung.
If you didn’t read the dates of each of Soojung’s letters, you probably got confused because I did go back and forth between time. But I’ll explain it.
The present time is May 2019. Soojung’s very first letter in this story (written in 2013) wasn’t the very first one she had ever written to Jongin. Soojung technically started writing in October 2012, the beginning of the third year in high school, when Jongin got into the football accident.
