Soohyun was now standing in the kitchen, whisking egg whites for the sponge cake her brother had forced her to make. Since he had burnt the batch he was making and to be honest, she reckoned that didn’t taste all that great either.

She watched as he paced back and forth, one hand holding the phone to his ear while the other would either run through his hair or scratch the back of his neck or glide along the furniture within his reach. Soohyun kept whisking, wondering what her brother was discussing so heatedly about and with whom. Most likely his best friend, Soohyun thought with an eye roll, those two are always discussing things with each other.

Once the egg whites were stiff and fluffy, she added it in portions of thirds to the chocolate flour mixture, folding it in slowly. After all the mixing was done and poured into heart shaped cupcake moulds, then placed in the oven to bake, she washed her hands and walked over to her brother, her hands still slightly wet. She grinned and sneaked up behind Baekhyun then yelled, “BOO!” while flicking water at him.

Baekhyun froze in horror, and turned slowly to face her with a blazing glare. “What. Did. You. Just. Do?” He said, coming one step closer with each word. Soohyun laughed at his expression and stuck out her tongue at him, ready to run if he got too angry.
