The party went on and on with more friendly meetings and talks with their new acquaintances. Although most of the senior field agents were gathered in one room to wait for their mentee, some of them still lingering around without partners meanwhile Yunhee and Baekhyun had been talking and walking around together as if they had been friends for years. Their conversation was light-hearted and anything but ordinary.

Yunhee casually talked about her past successful missions and kept on complimenting her fellow assistants while she was at it since they deserved much more than just a compliment. Being a good listener he was, Baekhyun nodded and smiled the stuff she talked about while adding a few of his personal training days in the agency.

Soon enough, it was dark as the party ended after President Shin congratulated the entire newly elected rookie field agents and reminding them their duty to the company with a piece of advice. Not every senior field agents got the task to train the rookie agents and one of them happened to be her close friend.

“Aw, I want a rookie to train too but President Shin reminded me for having a bigger mission. Not to mention I have to fly to Paris because of it. Can’t a criminal have a rest?” Sunyoung stated glumly with a pout. ‘You should be lucky that you at least have a mission to do for the past few months.’ Yunhee thought but did not have the usual courage to voice it out. Not when her mentee was standing beside her.

“Maybe I’ll get to guide once I finish my current mission and speaking of current mission, I have to meet my assistant to see if there’s any progress in Paris. See you next time, Yunhee!” She explained before exiting the hall. Yunhee exhaled deeply. She just realised she was holding her breath while talking with Sunyoung.

Baekhyun noticed her strange action and noted that his trainer is a good friend with another top female agent in KISS Agency. He genuinely asked her if anything was alright and of course he got a nod as an answer.

“Let’s head to the office to meet the guys. I bet they’re excited to see you.” Yunhee spoke with a small smile and led the way. Their walk to room 004 was silent but to Baekhyun’s luck, it was not an awkward one. As the two travelled down to the second floor, lights in the elevator suddenly flickered.

The female agent jolted in surprise as she eyed the lights above her warily. She took a quick glance at the rookie agent. From her eyes, he could tell, this rarely happened. He had been riding up and down this elevator for the past six months and he never encountered such occurrence. Before they knew it, the elevator was dark with only small source of light from the down part of the door. For some reason, she was glad no one was in there with her besides Baekhyun.
