The loud sound of palms hitting cheeks resounded throughout the whole room. But as much as how Woohyun’s cheeks were now throbbing by how hard Sunggyu slapped him, nothing hurt more than his pride.

Damn, this really was wasn’t his lucky day.

“You bastard,” Sunggyu seethed, eyes nothing but twin pools of crimson lava as they stared at Woohyun’s form with much hate and loath. Woohyun knew that his twin was now beyond mad and any moment now he might summon Amon and send Woohyun back to the deepest parts of hell where they originally belonged.

Despite this threat hanging heavily on the air, the Lust still couldn’t help but send Sunggyu a triumphant smirk.

“Oh please, like you didn’t enjoy it.” It was true; the second Woohyun’s lips touched Sunggyu’s the other returned it with equal fervor. Sunggyu only had a grasp of reality when Woohyun stopped the kiss momentarily and made the mistake of making a comment about Myungsoo. And that’s what led them now.

Sunggyu’s fist collided with the side of Woohyun’s face that made the younger loose his footing and fall to the ground, groaning and a hand clutching the part that was hit. Despite all the pain, Woohyun couldn’t help but note with glee that the other didn’t hit him too hard like he normally would.

“How dare you,” Sunggyu said for the last time, still glowering at Woohyun and never loosing the intensity in his eyes. He left the room without another word, shutting the door behind him so hard the hinges almost broke.

Woohyun was left there in the darkness of the room, hand still clutching  the side where Sunggyu punched him and having no idea what to feel at the color red staining his palms.

“Does it hurt?” A deep melodious voice broke through the room’s silence and Woohyun only closed his eyes, back leaning on the side of his bed.

“A warning wouldn’t hurt Asmodeus.”  A chuckle was his only reply as soft hands caressed the bleeding face of the Lust.

“I’m sorry about that master. But as you can see, I barely managed to hide my presence before the Wrath came barging on your room eyes already ablaze.” Woohyun leaned on the touch, eyes still closed and relished on the familiar warmth that emitted from his demon’s hands as Asmodeus healed his injury.

“That was scary,”  Woohyun admitted. “This is the first time I saw Sunggyu that angry.” Asmodeus gave Woohyun a sad smile and kissed the top of his master’s head.

“This isn’t the first really; this was just the first time that you have seen it and was targeted at you. The Wrath usually makes sure you’ll never see this side of him; but it was only a matter of time no?” Woohyun didn’t comment any further. Asmodeus gave his master’s injury one more glance and after making sure it already disappeared, he proceeded to stand up and extended a hand for the Lust to take.

Taking the hand and standing up, Woohyun started preparing for sleep. Both demon and master were silent as Woohyun prepared and Asmodeus only broke it when Woohyun was already comfortable seated underneath on his sheets.

“You were right; the box is going out of control. It needs the scroll now or I can’t even imagine what could happen,” Asmodeus said in a grave tone. Woohyun stared at him blankly before looking back on the charm bracelet strapped on his arm, hand playing with the charm that was shaped into a scroll.

“But I can’t! I’m already this close to finding out and if we return it now, who knows if we can take it back again.” Woohyun groaned, hand combing through his hair in frustration. “How long do you think the box can stand without the scroll?”

“It’s hard to tell… The box is pretty unpredictable. Let’s just hope it’ll be long enough until all of your questions could be answered,” Asmodeus gravely replied. Woohyun groaned once again before staring out of the window.

“Hope? Such a strange concept… Are we even allowed to such a privilege?”
