In the movie theatre..

Yup! That’s right. Right now we’re in the movie theatre. Please, don’t ask me any further because I don’t even know how this happens. My brain and my soul is definitely not in my body when I say ‘Sure!’ to his question just now. I’m frustrated with myself right now but at the same time, I have this comfortable, nice feeling I shall say because Kikwang is sitting beside me in this dark theatre while munching his popcorn. Don’t worry though because we are perfectly disguised and trying our best not to get caught because well, a ‘random casual outing with a friend to the movies’ can be taken as a ‘scandalous movie date’ by people out there if you know what I mean. Back to the story though, so, let's do a little flashback now shall we?

In the changing room..

The moment I went inside the changing room just now, Sunhwa and Jieun came to my mind. I know they’ll definitely freaked out if they know that the guy they had a big fat crush on just asked their unnie out to the movies. Not that I’m thinking it’s a movie date by the way. I decided to call Sunhwa because I know that my members are in our dorm because we don’t have that much schedule for today. “Oh unnie ah!”. Sunhwa answered her phone. “Yah Sunhwa yah, are all of you guys home now?”. I asked. Well, I’m kinda nervous to even break this news to the girls because they might be supportive and they might just breakdown. Trust me, I know them best. “Dae.. Jieun’s sitting beside me now and Hana’s in the kitchen.. Waeyo unnie?”. Sunhwa asked. “Put me on speaker..”. I said. Whatever. I might just tell them now even if it’s over the phone because this is an emergency rather than them finding out later from someone else and then things might get ugly. “Dae unnie! Waeyo? I’m listening..”. I heard Jieun’s voice now. “Promise me you guys won’t freak out and hate me after this.. Promise?!”. I heard them saying they promised. I took a deep breath before telling them the whole story about how I met Yoseob and Kikwang at the hallway, during the recording and after till the moment he asked me out to watch a movie with him. “MWOOOO?!!!!”. There ya go. I told you they’ll freak out. I close my eyes tight and hoping that they won’t scream at me. “Unnie ah!! OTTOKE?!!! Omo! I’m so jealous right now but oh my god!! You’re so lucky unnie ah!!”. Sunhwa squealed. “Unnie.. YOU. SHOULD. GO. Unnie please tell me you’ll go unnie ah! You have to go!!”. Now it’s Jieun’s turn to squeal. “I know.. I’m sorry it’s just that.. Wait. What? What did you guys say?”. Woah! This is just daebak! Did they just tell me to go? Did they just tell me to say yes to the guy that they’re head over heels for? What is wrong with these girls? “Are you girls okay? You’re telling me to go? Seriously?”. I asked them again. I seriously have no idea what is wrong with them. If this is how they react, I would prefer them to just scream at me and say ‘NO’. “Yes unnie! You have to go.. This is Lee Kikwang we’re talking about and the fact that he asked you out to watch a movie with him because s don’t wanna go with him which by the way is the most lamest reason ever, you have to go!”. Sunhwa convinced me with her ‘oh so long’ reason. “Yah Sunhwa yah, where’s your full stop? Slow down there..”. I told her while my mind is trying to process this situation. “Unnie, I’m telling you now.. You have to go.. Make us happy by going to the movies with him.. We will never talk to you ever again if you never go.”. Jieun threatened me. Oh my god! I’m telling you, these girls are making things hard for me right now. I talked to them for the next five minutes and the next thing I know, I’m already waiting for Kikwang at the lobby and now, here we are in the theatre.

Back in the theatre..

“Hyosung ah.. You okay? Shall we go now?”. I felt a tap on my shoulder. OH. MY. GOD. The dark theatre is now turning bright. Did he saw me zoning out just now? What if he ask me about the movie? What shall I say? How shall I react? Oh god! “Jeon Hyosung? Gwaenchana??”. Kikwang ask me again and this time, a bit louder. Seriously now, I have got to stop dreaming! “Yeah.. Yes! I’m sorry.. I’m okay.. Shall we?”. I stood up grabbing my hoodies and putting them on. We went out of the theatre and quickly went to the elevator. “Mianhe..”. I heard him say. I quickly turn to him. Currently we’re already in Kikwang’s van and we’re on the way to my dorm. “Dae? Wae? Why did you apologize?”. I asked him. Actually I should be the one apologizing to him because I wasn’t paying attention to the movie just now. “Mianhe because of me you have to watch this movie and it’s my fault for not asking you first whether you’re okay with the movie that I wanna watch..”. Kikwang lowered down his voice. ‘Aigoo ottoke?! Deo jinja pabo yah Jeon Hyosung!’. I blame myself. He’s obviously feeling that way because he saw me zoning out just now. “Ani Kikwang ah.. Who said I didn’t like the movie? I’m the one who should apologize to you for not paying attention to the movie just now.. I’m really sorry.”. I apologized before Kikwang felt really bad. “But if you think about it, it really is my fault right? I should have told you what we’re gonna watch and asked whether you’re okay with it or not right? Seriously, it’s my fault..”. Kikwang blame himself again. “Well then, if you say so..”. I decided to lighten up the atmosphere. Kikwang quickly turned to me. I laugh out loud before he did the same. “Well, seriously though.. Although it was a quick escape, trust me I had fun.. It’s been awhile since I went to the theatre and also to eat the popcorn.. That was the best part!”. I joked with Kikwang. Kikwang laugh and nodded in agreement. “I’m glad you had fun and like finally, I get to watch that movie.. But then, don’t you think it’s weird that we just went to watch the movie and quickly came back out and now we’re already in the van heading back to your dorm? Sigh.. Life as an idol.. I’ve always wish that I can have a day off just to go to the movies then shop around Myeong Deong and finally end the night by cycling around Han River. I will trade anything for a day like that.”. I nodded in agreement. “I can totally relate to that.. Just one day.. Have a walk at the beach and breathing in that fresh sea water and ending the night riding the water taxi at Han River. Oh what a life..”. I close my eyes and imagine myself doing that activity. It may sound weird to people but trust me, life as an idol is all about late nights and early mornings and all the non-stop activities which includes in and out of Korea in between. Okay actually, I felt a bit weird. I’m closing my eyes now but I felt like someone is staring at me. Or is it just me? I opened my eyes slowly and my guess is right. He’s staring at me. Lee Kikwang who is sitting beside me is staring at me. For a moment, our eyes are locked to each other and it’s like we’re communicating through our eyes. “We’re here!”. Kikwang’s manager’s voice brought me and Kikwang back to earth. The atmosphere says awkward all over it! Oh my god! What was I thinking?!! “Uhmm.. Yeah so.. Thanks again Kikwang ah.. Thank you for today.. I really had fun.. Thank you manager oppa for the ride!”. I thank Kikwang and his manager too. “Jamkkanman Hyosung ah!”. Kikwang grabbed my hand. Yes! Lee Kikwang is grabbing my hand. We just met today and we already watch a movie together and now skinship. At this rate, I might just fall for this guy. Seriously. “Dae? Wae Kikwang ah?”. I tried to act cool and ask him when only god knows how I’m shaking right now. “I, well, this may sound weird but is it okay if we were to exchange numbers? I know that we just met today and I’m not suppose to ask for your number yet but, well, is it okay?”. I’m trying my best not to smile right now. I’m sorry but I’m not going to smile because it’s funny but, that worried expression that he have on his face is just too adorable! I tried to composed myself. “Yeah.. Sure.. Why not..”. Woah Hyosung ah! You gotta slow down there now. Kikwang let out a sigh of relief. We exchanged numbers and I went down the van while waving at him. Once his van is out of sight, I can’t help but smile and quickly went up to my dorm.
