“He’s got a broken skull and pelvis and split liver. But he’ll live,” Woohyun told Amber the injuries his uncle got from the car accident the other night.

Amber listened with agape and imagining how much it must’ve hurt. “At least he can’t bother you for a while,” she joked.

Woohyun’s expression changed. He was not amused.

Amber realized she shouldn’t have said that and immediately regretted her words. “Sorry…”

Both had returned to their daily lives, trying to forget the accident.

Woohyun was counting his math problems while Amber stared at him wondering. Why isn’t he shocked by the incident… Not then or now.

“What?” Woohyun raised his gaze from his math book.

Amber returned from her thoughts. “Huh? Ah… nothing,” she smiled and continued her homework.

Woohyun stared at her for a while longer before returning to the problems before him.

I'm sorry, this was EXTREMELY short chapter. But there's a reason why. I was supposed to attach this to the ending of the last chapter but forgot... and I can't include this in the next chapter either since we're going to jump in time to winter. (<- remember this when reading the next chapter!)
