"nervegear start!"
"Are you guys ready??" Dari plopped down besides her best friend with a bowl of popcorn.
Miyoung cheered and pulled her new console in her arms, brushing off invisible dust with her sweater paws. "Hey Hyelim," the youngest turned and crawled towards her, eyes sparkling. "Are you excited to play with us?"
Hyelim placed her book on the table besides the sofa and let out a small chuckle, laughing at the younger one's excitement. "Well we did drive all the way downtown and waited 16 hours in line to buy the nervegear so...yeah."
Dari placed another piece of popcorn into , listening to the many tangents the two were branching off of. Her friend did have a point. SAO was the most hyped game since well...since forever. Not to mention tis was the first game to be compatible with the new nervegear console. When the girls found out that they were going to sell nervegear in both Korea and Japan, Miyoung and Dari promised (and convinced the others) that they would buy the new console and play together.
As Dari opened to speak, the front door to her house slammed open, a voice yelling, "WHO'S READY TO PARTY?"
"Must be Yuki and Umma," Nabi called out from the kitchen.
Miyoung climbed up off the floor and grabbed onto her 'mother,' screaming happily "UMMA YOU CAME!"
Dari rolled her eyes and threw popcorn at Miyoung, yelling "CALM DOWN." The younger stuck her tongue out and hugged her 'mom' tighter. Yuki laughed and raised the bags resting in her hands. "I brought snacks! ..and the nervegear of course."
"Why did you buy more snacks?" Nabi walked in from the kitchen, a fresh plate of potato bread in her hands. "We have enough to feed the entire Seoul population."
Yuki scoffed and set the food in the center of the room before sitting on the sofa besides Hyelim. "I'm kind of nervous - I've never tried a nerve gear before."
"Me niether," Miyoung piped up (she was still holding onto Sooyeon), "But Dari knows someone who beta tested Sword Art Online and said it was amazing!"
"Miyoung, you can let go now," Sooyeon gently chided.
The youngest groaned and let go, mumbling, "fine fine."
Hyelim laughed and looked at her watch. "Well the server should be up and running by now, should we start?"
"Yeah!" they all cheered.
Dari hummed to herself as she began to set up the room for nervegear gameplay. As she placed down pillows and blankets on the floor, she wondered if her online friend Kirito was already on. The girls all lined up on the floor and got comfortable, placing the nervegear over their heads. They all smiled to themselves, excited as to what the game held in store for them.
"Nervegear start!"
