The next day...

Mommy Vangie: Iho, wake up

Ge: (felt a little pain in his head) Ma, what time is it?

MV: 9 am na. Kailangan mo kumain

Ge: Yes ma.

MV: (looked at hi son) Anak. (teary eyed)

Ge: Ma, wag ka umiyak. Kung ano man ang resulta mamaya tanggapin na lang natin oky? Please? ayoko ng may nakikitang nalulungkot o umiiyak ha?

MV: Mahal na mahal kita anak.

Ge: Mahal na mahal din kita ma. Ano ba yan, ang aga aga ang drama natin. (forced a smile) Si ken nga pala?

MV: Mamaya susunod sya anak. 

Ge: Ahh, okay. What time daw po tests ko?

MV: 9:30 kaya kumain ka na.

Ge: Opo ma.

After eating Gerald went through several tests the whole day. He needed to act like everything is okay for his loved ones. When the tests were through, they were anxiously waiting for the results. 

Ge: Hoy Ken! Bakit ngayon ka lang?

Ken: Eh kuya nagaadjust pa ko sa time zone and weather dito.

Ge: Ang daming arte nito. 

Ken: (smiled) balita ko may girlfriend ka na ah?

Ge: (smiled) daig kita noh?

Ken: Hindi noh! marami naghahabol sa akin sa states! I'm popular!

Ge: C'mon, maniwala ko sayo.

Ken: It's true kuya. (gigled)

Ge: Well, if you say so. 

Ken:So when will you be discharged/ I'd like you to show me around.

Ge: I don't know. Bored na ko dito sa hospital.

KEn: Ma, when will kuya be out of here?

MV: Hindi ko alam. We'll ask them later okay?

Then Dr. G entered the room...

Dr. G: Good Evening.

MV: Good evening doc. May resulta na po ba?

Dr. G; Walang blood clot sa utak nya but we found a big tumor in his brain.

MV: OH MY! (crying)

Ge: (holding back his tears) Is it cancerous doc?

Dr. G: From the images we saw, 90% sure ako na its cancerous. From what I saw, it's just starting. You're in the middle ofstage two and three. I'm sorry 

MV: Ano pong gagawin doc?? What do we need to do? (crying) 

Dr. G: the mass must be removed, then maguundergo sya ng radiation and chemotherapy.

Ge: Salamat po Doc.

Dr. G: You are welcome. By the way you can be discharged tom afternoon.

Ge: Thank you po ulit.

Then Dr. G left. MV, Ken and Ge talked.

MV: anak kailangan kitang dalhin sa states. dun  ka na magpagamot. We need the best doctors 

Ge: Ma, di ko maiiwan si kim dito.

MV: Sabihin mo ang totoo sa kanya Ge. Kung gusto mo isama sya, isama natin

Ge: Hindi pwede Ma, nandito ang pamilya nya. 

Ken: Kuya please just agree with mom's plan. You need this. 

Ge: I just can't leave Kim. You know how much I love her.

MV: Anak, parang awa mo na. (crying)

Ken: Kuya please, I'm begging you pumayag ka na.

Ge: Okay, Fine! But can you give me atleast a month to spend with Kim. Kahit isang buwan lang. 

MV: 1 month then were leaving okay?

Ge: Yes mom. I promise.

Ken: Kuya be strong. 

Ge: I will be. Cge na ma, umuwi na kayo. gabi na

MV: Okay anak, just call kung may kailangan ka ha? (placed the phone in the bedside table) Kaya natin toh anak! (kissed ge on the forehead)

Ge: Yes ma. Kakayanin ko 

MV: Rest well son. I love you

Ge: I love you too ma.

Ken: I'll come back tom kuya. 

Ge: Yeah. uhh, Ken take care of mom will you?

Ken: I will kuya. Call us if something's up

Ge: Okay, Thanks bro.

When Ken and Mommy Vangie left Ge let go of the pain the moment he heard that he was sick. He cried and reached for the phone his mom left and dialled Kim's number just hear her voice. 

Kim: Hello?

Ge: Hi Baby!

Kim: Baby? Bakit gising ka pa?

Ge: (Holding his sobs) Ahh, wala. Di kasi ako makatulog. Namimiss na kita eh,

Kim: Eh ikaw kase! di mo ko pinayagan pumunta dyan.

Ge: hayaan mo na baby. magkikita na tayo bukas dba?

Kim: ah baby baka hapon na ko makapunta. may klase na kase bukas eh.

Ge: aahh oo nga pala noh? (tears slowly fallibng down his face) baby, I need to tell you something...

Kim: Is there something wrong? (worried)

Ge: (sensed that Kim's mood changed) di, wala baby. I just want to tell you I love you so much.

Kim: Akala ko naman kung ano na, I love you too. Cge na baby. Matulog ka na, masama sayo mapuyat. May pasok pa din ako bukas.

Ge: Sorry baby, namiss lang kasi kita. Sorry for keeping you. Nga pala baby sa bahay ka na lang dumerecho. discharge na rin ako bukas eh. 

Kim: Talaga? Good to hear, I love you baby, good night! Miss you!

Ge: I Love you Kim! Mahal na mahal kita. I miss you too! See you!

Then they hung up. Gerald just hugged the phone. He just cried silently until he fell asleep.
