Hyesung fastened his steps, picking up the huge stacks of papers on the desk, tapping them against it and after making sure that the papers were all aligned together, puts them into his bag. He runs towards the door, grabbing the set of keys that were lying on the couch and spins himself around to check his reflection in the mirror before rushing out the front door.

Hyesung was busy catching his breath while in the lift. He checked his watch

7:30 a.m.

This was usually the time where Hyesung would wake up. Yet, today was different. Stupid Eric. How could a CEO forgets to bring such an important documents? Hyesung folded his arms and his lips was quivering, with slurring words that were unintelligible, spewing out into space.

Ding!

The doors opened and Hyesung walks out. Outside of the lift, there were a group of boys, probably still in high school, conversing about trivial topics. Their voices slowly died down as Hyesung walks past them. Their eyes never leave Hyesung’s back. It was as if they were enthrall by Hyesung. Surprisingly, Hyesung didn’t even notice anything.  

Sometimes, he was just oblivious to his surroundings.

One reason for why Hyesung will receive such attention might be due to the fact that he is very pretty. He was too busy for the past few months that he didn’t cut his hair. And now his hair is way past his ears but was just above the shoulders. However, being the lazy guy he is, he simply tied his hair up into a ponytail, with his fringe falling just above his eyes, creating that enigmatic look on him.

No one could resist that!

Moreover, no matter what style Hyesung is wearing, be it causal, professional or just lazy, he still looks quite pretty.

One… Two… Three… Four… Five… Just enough!

Hyesung was standing in line for the ticketing machine, constantly looking at his watch, ignoring the numerous calls he was getting from Eric. Serves you right for being so irresponsible. Hyesung smiled smugly.

Finally, after the countless people who were trying to in the line, Hyesung managed to get his tickets. It was really crowded in the train station. Everyone was rushing to work, they were pushing and shoving, trying to get past the tickets gantries.

“Ahh!”

 Hyesung swiftly turned towards the direction of that voice and without hesitation, went forward to help a male, who looks only a few years older than Hyesung up to his feet. The guy’s documents were all scattered around the floor and yet, commuters step over it. Annoyed, Hyesung decides to do the right thing. 

“Stop stepping over the papers!!!” Hyesung vociferates. Literally, the man who was about to step on the papers, jumped back and lowers his head before mumbling sorry.

Hyesung smiled to himself after watching the man scattering away from Hyesung with fears in his eyes. “Here you go sir.” Hyesung beamed at the said male. “Thank you.” The man said softly. Although it was only a simple gesture of replying thank you to a person, that male’s voice was filled with eloquence, causing Hyesung to be bewitched by his voice.

Hyesung breifly glanced at the man in front of him. Should I ask him whether he needs my help to carry the things for him?

“So, do you need any help from me?” Hyesung gesture his heads towards the stacks of paper that the man was carrying, seeing how his face was contorted with exhaustion.  

“You don’t mind?” The male asked as his face brightens. 

The train ride to their destination was quiet and somewhat awkward. Why does this scene feels so familiar? Somehow, whenever I helped someone, our paths will always cross together someday. I got a bad feeling about this.

“How old are you?” The man asked Hyesung, startling him.

“21.” Hyesung answered matter-of-factly. The man nodded before saying “I presume you must like bears a lot.” He said while pointing his finger towards the bear keychain on Hyesung’s bag and also his phone cover. “I think they are cute. Some people may view bears as ferocious but I think they are vulnerable in some ways or others.” Hyesung smiled.

Because of that answer, they seem to clicked it off. They realized that both of them had pretty much the same interest and Hyesung couldn’t help but wonder that it would be nice to have a close friend like the man before him.

Alighting the train together, both of them walks out the train station. Hyesung passed the huge stacks of papers to the man and bowed. He was sure that they would go their separate ways by now. And yet, the two of them are still walking side by side. Why are we walking together? Hyesung wondered, casting a quick look to his side. 

 “Sir!”  Startled, Hyesung turned towards that voice and saw a man, wearing a dark suite, running towards them.

“We thought you had gone missing.”

“I was just having a private tour on my own. And besides, this is my home country.”

The man bowed deeply before saying “There is a meeting in a few hours’ time so please come with us right now.”

The man looked towards Hyesung who was staring wide-eyed at the scene unfolding in front of him. Realizing that all eyes were on him, he frantically nodded his head as if to indicate that it was alright with him.

“Thank you for helping me just now. I won’t forget it. Although it was a simple gesture.” The man smiled politely before walking away.

All Hyesung could do was to stare at the groups of man walking away. From all the mangas and anime he has seen, he was sure that they looked like some sort of mafia. All decked out in black, bodygaurds who looked way too serious and the car that looks way to expensive and alien-like. 

“It’s about time you arrived.” Eric snapped at Hyesung who had entered the meeting room with Minwoo beside Eric. Hyesung greeted Minwoo with a smile before it disappeared as soon as it started.  “You want to say that again?” Hyesung slurred his words, with deadly aura gushing around him. Eric smiled cheekily and run towards Hyesung giving him a tight hug. It somehow make Hyesung feel more forgiving. Nice move. Minwoo grinned to himself.

*Knock Knock*

One of Eric many secretaries was standing in the door way with a worried look on her face. “Someone named Andy who claimed to be your brother wants to see you Mr Mun.”

Upon hearing that name, Eric’s face darkens. It’s been a long time since he last heard that name. Minwoo and Eric looked towards each other with a grim expression on their face. Hyesung felt out of place. It's not like he knows everything secrets to this company. Maybe he should leave quietly. But, before he could even get out, someone was blocking the door. 

“Hello my dearest big brother.” A familiar voice echoed throughout the meeting room.

Where had I heard that voice before? Hyesung furrowed his brows, thinking hard.

There, standing in front of them, was the man who Hyesung has helped earlier on in the train station.

Hyesung groaned to himself. I knew something bad was going to happen…

Andy looked at Eric with an evil glare before noticing that there was someone standing beside Eric.

“Ohh.” Andy said surprised. “Hi.” He puts his hands up and waved to Hyesung rather excitingly. “That reminds me. When we parted our ways, I saw a flyer saying that there is a bear exhibition this Saturday. Would you like to go out with me?” Andy beamed brightly.

Hyesung slowly looked up and saw Eric staring at him with a smile on his face.

Hyesung know what that smile meant.
