That day, they were going home together, with his bike.
She was looking so happy.
She was holding back a smile right behind her pursed lips, and sometimes would look into his back with such an adoring gaze that I had never see before. It was actually the very first time for me to see the sparks on her eyes. And it was indeed really beautiful.
"You helped them out again, right?"
I turned to see Hana was walking closer to where I sat nearby the window when I noticed her hidden vexations were slightly displaying through her eyes. I understood her unhappiness though. I really did.
And it wasn't like I was whole-heartedly delighted as well.
"They look good together," I said, putting a smirk down my face in attempt to cover up my true feelings.
She sighed, still not looking relieved yet. "Choi Junhong, are you insane?"
I looked outside the window, randomly watching the other students having their own business instead her annoyed face. "Why?"
"You like Jieun, right? You asked me to convince her to join dancing club before and even shielded her when the other members got annoyed of her absence in our club's activity," she leant towards the window by her arms, still looking at those tall guy next to her in confusion. "Then why did you go to find Yongguk and asked him to talk to her instead?"
I laughed, feeling completely amused by her interrogation. It's not like she was wrong though—no, she was on the exact point instead but her narrow mind was the only reason of why I couldn't hold back my laugh. She might not be able to understand it afterall. She wouldn't be able to imagine being myself.
Where I found out that the girl I liked wouldn't even give a second glance at me.
"I do like her," I agreed, right away. "I like her to be close to me but I like it more if she could find her happiness."
Hana glanced at me, later throwing her eyesight outside the window but I could somehow tell that her anger was already descreased a little. "You don't think he is her happiness, right?"
I chuckled, shaking my head lightly. "Then what?"
I watched her getting sinked into a silence for a moment—probably trying to find an answer inside her head, before I let out a small laugh and walked away first. She might not be able to find it no matter what. I believed it.
"Why don't you try to be her happiness then?" she asked, in a sudden.
I turned, looking at her whose still shooting me with her challenging gaze which instead of making me feel intimidated, it made me feel more confidence instead. That was why I just gave her a smirk, trying to show her that I wasn't afraid of even the worst end for me.
Not even a little.
"This may be not the right time yet—but I will," I replied, not even needing a second thought.
"One day, I will be her happiness."
