Doctor, Superman, Wonder Woman

“Hey,” a soft whisper greeted Dara’s ears.  “Get up, you’re late for work already.”

A lazy, tired groan came from her.  It was Monday—one of the hardest days for her—and most everyone else.

“Five more minutes, please.”

“You said that ten minutes ago, though.”

Dara whimpered in annoyance, as she knew there was no use dallying anymore.  She had to get up and prepare no matter how hard it was to do.  “But I’m so tired, Ji…”

Jiyong smiled apologetically looking at his girlfriend.  Being a doctor, for sure there won’t be enough time to rest, and he felt terrible, knowing that he couldn’t do anything to lessen her tiredness.  Climbing on their bed, he settled himself comfortably beside her as he pulled her tiny frame close to his.

“What should I do then…” He her exposed arm.  “Take a day off, maybe?”

Though her eyes were still closed, she curved a smile involuntarily.  Hearing how concerned Jiyong was made her feel good.  “I can’t.. I’ll have to work for 30 hours today.  On-call.”
