EXO had just finished promoting after confirming the news of Chen leaving EXO. Every single day after that, they would stay beside Yna’s bed at least a couple of hours a day. Of course, Jongdae was beside her bed every single day, holding her hand and telling her stories from the past. He decided to stay strong whenever he was in front of her, he had to keep the faith that she will still wake up.

“Dear Lord, please let her wake up soon. It’s been a month and I miss her dearly,” he murmured with his head down, not realising a tear had escaped his eyes.

As if his prayer was heard, Yna’s fingers started to move a little. He looked at her fingers moving in his hand and grew excited. Finally, she was awake. He leaped up from his seat and ran to the doctor, leaving s and her friends dumb founded. Until of course, they saw that her Yna was moving.

Hyomin and Yara were even crying at the sight, their Unnie was finally awake. Her eyes fluttered open, blinking a couple of times before her eyes adjusted to the brightly lit room she was in. After a few seconds, the Doctor had rushed in with a big smile on his face. The nurses came in a few seconds later and ensured that EXO, the girls and Yna’s parents did not do anything that might suddenly startle the patient.

“W-who a-are you?” She asked with a shaking voice, obviously shocked as to why the man was right in front of her.

“I’m Doctor Park, you’re in the hospital right now. You have been in a coma for a couple of months. How are you feeling?” The Doctor replied back in a friendly tone, making sure that he doesn’t startle Yna.

“My head feels light,” She replied back almost immediately before holding her head in between her hands.

“Alright, do you remember what happened?”

“W-what happened? W-why am I here?” She stuttered.

The doctors were not taken aback by her reply. In fact, they had expected it from the severe impact of the car hitting her.

“You got into an accident, my dear.” Mrs Song butted in, rushing to her daughter and hugging her.

“O-omma?” She asked, surprised.

Everyone was frozen in their spot, she actually remember her Mom. Now that was something amazing.

“If it’s not too much, would you name everyone in this room for me, starting from the gentleman on your left?” The doctor requested before she nodded.

“That’s Sehun Oppa, Luhan Oppa, Minki, Baekhyun Oppa, Kyungsoo Oppa, Jaehee, Appa, Kris Oppa, Tao Oppa, Chanyeol Oppa, Hyomin, Suho Oppa, Yara, Xiumin Oppa, Jongin Oppa, Eluna, Lay Oppa.” She blurted out without stopping.

“And that’s...” she stopped, thinking for a while.

Everyone held their breath in anticipation. Will she remember her own boyfriend just like her friends and band mates?

“That’s... Jongdae,” She breathed and everyone heaved a sigh of relief while Jongdae broke into a big smile.

“Oh? You remember me Baby?” He asked, running from the corner of the room to her bed before giving her a bone crushing hug.

“Get lost Jongdae!” She screamed, shoving him away.

“Can I kiss you right now?” Jongdae asked before leaning in.

“What?! Are you nuts? You’re just my best friend!” She yelled at the top of her voice.

A few of the people in their room had their eyes wide opened at what she just yelled. Some of their jaws dropped. But a particular someone, felt like he just a received a huge blow in the face and in his heart. He had his head hung low as he took a step away from her. Mr Song had rushed forward to pat Chen’s back before he ran out of the room, slamming the door behind him.

After he ran out of her room, he just stood there. He stood there blankly, unable to believe his ears. “You’re just my best friend!” those 5 words echoed inside Chen’s head repeatedly. BEST FRIEND. A couple of words that was so strong that it just caused his heartbreak. They were best friends again.

OUCH. O-U-C-H.

Yna's finally awake! 

But ha ha ha ha.

She remembers him! 

But not as her boyfriend.
