Fortunately for Eunyoung, Hakyeon hadn't seen her talking to Minyoung that afternoon. If he had, she'd have had no excuse not to tell him what she'd said; she'd made a bet, and Minyoung's words had her at an undeniable loss. I needed to win, though... she thought in disappointment. She glanced over at the two lead actors amid their current shoot - even between cuts, they seemed normal. If Minyoung didn't tell her her true feelings, she'd never have realised.

Maybe... maybe, she didn't have to lose the bet. Maybe she could make Minyoung stop hating him herself. It wouldn't be hard, right? He was a good guy. Eunyoung knew that. She just had to make sure Minyoung's eyes stopped being clouded by Hakyeon's past in order to make her see the new reality herself.

As the director called for a short break as they reassemble the set, Eunyoung skipped over towards the pair. "That was great! You two work really well together!"

Minyoung grimaced for only a split-second before smiling at the younger. Ah... Eunyoung realised faintly. She thinks I'm just saying it so he won't get suspicious... 

"Right? It must be because we've known each other for so long. Acting with Mi-- Ellin...ssi feels so natural!" Hakyeon agreed brightly, though the awkwardness of his words seemed to suggest otherwise.

"Ah... I'm a little tired, though. I didn't sleep well. Does it show, oppa?" Eunyoung asked, feigning a worried expression. Do something nice... say something nice... come on, oppa--

"Aniya, not at all! You look as radiant as always," he smiled kindly. "Want oppa to make a coffee to wake you up?"

A-ha! "Mm, yes, please! Wah, you're so thoughtful," she cooed exaggeratedly, her eyes flickering over at Minyoung occasionally in effort to analyse her expression. Did she notice? Did she realise? Look how nice he is, unni! Pay attention!!

"Hey, it's nothing. Ellin-ssi, can I make you one too?" he asked almost timidly, remembering what happened the last time he'd made such an offer.

"No, I'm fine. I'm going to nap for a bit." Minyoung pat the younger girl on her shoulder as she made her way back to the dressing room.

Hakyeon frowned. "I told you, didn't I?! Did I tell you or didn't I tell you? I distinctly told you--"

"She doesn't hate you! Trust me. I'll prove it to you later when I ask," she added, hoping he wouldn't see through her lie.

He sighed, shaking his head as he gestured behind him. "Come on. Let me get you that coffee."

"Ah, Lee Kang!" Junhee chimed, waving at the man who was walking towards her.

"Junhee-ya! It's been a while," he grinned. "Wow, this is really something special. You're the second schoolmate I've stumbled upon this week."

"The first was Minkyung, right?"

Kang's brows rose with surprise. "Oh- how did you know?"

"She told me," she admitted. "She said you two keep running into each other, actually."

"Yeah... she doesn't seem to like me very much though," Kang added, his voice sounding slightly hurt.

"She... may have said a thing or two about you being the bearer of bad luck..."

He chuckled, rubbing at the nape of his neck as he tried to change the subject. "Hey, you still came though, didn't you?"

Junhee nodded. "Mm. I'm not superstitious." She sipped at her latte for a moment before glaring up at him jokingly. "Don't give me a reason to be!"

Kang grinned. "I'll do my best."

She placed the now empty cup on the table and threw her bag around her shoulder. "I'll get going, then. Got some shopping to do. It was good seeing you again!"

"Yeah, you too! Come visit again sometime. It's always nice to see a familiar face."

After saying goodbye, Junhee was making her way towards the shopping centre when something dropped from the sky onto her bag. Her body jolted, startled, as she peeked over to see what it was...
