Chapter 8

 

Sooyoung POV

 

Manager-oppa invited us to our favorite restaurant and as we arrived he was already waiting for us in front of it.

 

“Hi oppa, are we late again?” Taeyeon asked still standing halfway in the van and halfway already outside.

 

“No and if you were it wouldn't matter because I'm used to it.” He laughed.

 

“Yah Taeyeon! Can you get away from the door now? We want to get out ,too!” Sunny complained.

 

“Your is beautiful but get out completely now!” I said.

 

“Byun-Soo.” Taeyeon pouted.

 

“Says Byun-Tae.” I chuckled.

 

“You're all byun! Now get out!” Fany scolded us.

 

Taeyeon finally stepped out and all of us who were sitting in the back got out. Why does our van have just one door on one side anyway? Jessica was the last to get out and I handed her my hand to help her.

 

“Wow is Soo a gentleman today?” Sunny teased.

 

“She's the prince helping her princess.” Taeyeon teased even more.

 

I blushed madly and looked at Sica again, she was blushing,too? I never saw her blushing before.. And instead of pulling her hand away she grab my hand and locked our fingers together.

I widened my eyes about that unusual action of her, but she gave me a warm smile.

 

“Ehm by the way.. who drove the van if it wasn't me?” Manager-oppa asked.

 

“Hyoyeon. Why aren't they getting out?”

 

Taeyeon went to the passenger seat and knocked on the window where Seohyun is sitting.

It seemed like they were still talking about something.

After a while the soccer girls came,too and Seohyun and Hyoyeon went out as well.

We then went into the restaurant and nobody was walking alone like we discussed earlier to make sure that it won't come to an incident like this morning.

Because we are 20 girls now everyone got at least one to be with.

 

“It's good to see that you girls being careful now and watching over each other after the incident this morning.” manager-oppa praised us.

 

“You know we have a strong bond between us and care about each other, oppa.” Seohyun stated.

 

“Yeah and we are willing to integrate this pretty, little soccer girls in our bond.” I added.

 

“We're taller than you, you know.” Lynn chuckled.

 

“Aiish.. you're younger so you are little for me.”

 

“Whatever.” She smirked.

 

We then reached our table.

Since we are pretty many people they prepared an extra large table, so we don't have to disperse on different tables.

We were sitting in the order like we were walking before but one chair was still empty.

 

“Oppa, were is the coach?” Taeyeon asked.

 

“Oh right.. he called me a while before you came. He got into traffic and will be a little late.”

 

“Ah I see.”

 

We ordered something to drink and after talking, laughing and joking for a while the coach finally arrived.

 

“The atmosphere seems great.”, We heard him chuckling behind us so we turned around,” Annyeonghaseyo, I'm Kim Eun Jung, nice to meet you and sorry for being late.”

 

“It's fine. Take a seat.” manager-oppa offered him the seat next to him.

 

The waiter came and asked what we wanted to eat and after a view minutes the food we ordered came. Thank goodness, I was so hungry, I couldn't wait any longer.

 

“So you are the german girls I have to train?” The coach asked.

 

“Right.” Christina said.

 

“I'm gonna make it like hell for you hehe..”, he smirked with an evil grin and we all looked at him with a shocked expression,”don't look at me like that I'm just joking.” He laughed.

 

“I'm sorry I should have warned you, he really likes to joking around and to tease others.” Manager-oppa chuckled and we were laughing along.

 

“So do you have any international experiences?” The coach began talking again.

“No sadly not.” Christina answered.

 

“But Lynn got the chance to play with the national team of Germany before.” Svea spoke up and covered immediately with her hand.

 

“Huh???”

 

Everyone had their eyes on Lynn now with a questioning look on their face.

Didn't her teammates know about that? Lynn was only glaring at Svea now.

 

“I told you not to say it.” Lynn was surely angry.

 

“I'm sorry.” Svea glided down from her chair.

 

“Lynn, why didn't you tell us?”

 

“It was just some training with them a view times, not a big deal. I thought it wouldn't be that important.”

 

“But they asked you to play in their team in an exhibition game.” Svea blurted out again.

 

“And you said no?” May asked curious.

 

“Yes.”

 

“Why?”

 

“Because at that time I was preparing for my exam and so on and if I had agreed to it I would have had to train more and didn't have enough time to learn. In addition to that.. I don't want to play without you anyway.” Lynn explained.

 

“With the exam is understandable but you could have return to them after that and you would be a national player by now.” Sina said.

 

“It doesn't matter anymore”, Lynn looked upset and sad now,” Excuse me for a while.”

 

She stood up and left the room. Sina wanted to go after her but Miriam stopped her.

I wonder what is wrong with her, I'm sure the reason she told us was not the real one.

It was an awkward atmosphere now, no one was talking but then Christina spoke up again.

 

“She will calm down and be back soon.” She smiled.

 

We continued eating and after a while we chatted again happily. Sica was still worrying about Yoona's condition. She poked my arm and signaled me to look at Yoona.

Yoona was sitting next to Yul and Hyo but wasn't uttering any word, she was just eating her food. She just smiled or laughed lightly sometimes at some funny remarks from the others. After the incident in the morning she always pretended to be fine but I can tell she is not. Something is still lingering in her head.

After she finished her food she stood up,too and excused herself that she will go to the restroom.

 

 

Yoona POV

 

Lynn is away for a while now already. I wonder what was wrong with her that she reacted like that. Was it the real reason that she didn't do it because of school and because she didn't want to play without her teammates? I mean it was a great chance to become a big soccer star.

I decided to go looking for her, so I excused myself by saying I wanted to go to the restroom. I really went to the restroom though hoping to find Lynn there, but she wasn't there.

Then I went out of the restaurant looking for her there, but there she wasn't either.

Where could she be?? Did she went home already?

I went to look if there were still all cars standing where we left them and all were still there.

Mh...where could I look now she still must be here somewhere, I'm really worried now.

I felt someone tapping my shoulder.

 

“What are you doing here,Yoong? You shouldn't walk around alone, you know that.”

 

“Sorry Yul, but I'm really worried about Lynn now so I wanted to look for her and talk to her.”

 

“I understand, but do you really think she will tell you what's wrong when she didn't even tell it her long time teammates and best friends?”

 

“I don't know I just want to be there for her after she saved me and give her something back.”

 

“Just let her be. You still don't know her and if you keep on bugging her, I don't think she wants to get along with you anymore.”

 

“You really think she will ignore me then??” I asked with a sad and shocked expression.

 

“Maybe.”, Yul was staring at the sky now but then she looked at me again,”Anyway let's get back now.”

 

We went into the restaurant again and got to our table were the others were already waiting for us. I noticed that Lynn's seat was still empty, I sighed. I think Yul noticed it because she laid her hand on my shoulder and squeezed it lightly. We sat down.

 

“Where is Hyo?” Yul asked.

 

“She went to look for Lynn, Unnie.” Seo said.

 

What? For real now? I shouldn't look for her and let her be and Hyo is allowed to go looking for her now? Are you kidding me? I was really mad now and glared at Yul because she was the one telling me not to look for her.

 

“Sorry” she whispered.

 

I looked away from her, trying to ignore her.

 

 

 

Hyoyeon POV

 

We were worried because Lynn and Yoona were away for a long time already so we sent

Yuri to search for Yoona. After Yul left we discussed about who would go looking for Lynn, because we weren't sure if she was with Yoona now or not.

Lynn's teammates weren't sure if it was good to face her now so we decided a soshi will go. I volunteered because I wanted to talk to her anyway.

As I left the room we were sitting I saw Yoona and Yuri standing outside so my conclusion was that Lynn had to be somewhere else.

I first went to the restroom but I didn't find her there. Maybe she was in some empty room of the restaurant but after searching in every single place of the restaurant I haven't found her. I then remembered that I was always on the rooftop to relax and calm down when I was young and our schedules were tight, so I went up to the rooftop. Where else could she be? When I reached the rooftop I, as I expected, found her there standing at the edge of the roof.

 

“You don't want to jump, don't you?” I asked.

 

“Why would I?” She asked back without turning around.

 

“Don't know.”,I went over to her to stand next to her and saw her just staring at the sky,“What is bothering you?”

 

“What? Nothing..”

 

“I can tell there is something by just looking at your eyes.”

 

“Fine.. I'm just thinking about the soccer thing and what would be if I was able to continue playing there.”

 

“I see..I don't want to ask any further if it isn't ok with you.”

 

“It's fine.. I'm sorry for my behavior before.”

 

“Never mind. Maybe you are going to tell us what happened some other time.”

 

“I will.”

 

“Actually I'm not here to talk about the soccer thing..” I said while we both stared in at the sky.

 

“Then what is it about?”

 

“You are the one speaking korean and listen to K-Pop right?”

 

“How do you know??” She faced me with a shocked expression and I smirked.

 

“As we first met you all, you looked already familiar to me, so I thought night and day about where I could have seen you before. And as we were playing Truth or Dare in the morning while you were shopping I asked your teammates who of your team are dancing. They named you, too. So I was thinking even more till I remembered watching some dance cover videos on YouTube before, so I went in my room after leaving your dorm and watched the videos again and there I saw you.” I spoke korean this time.

 

“Aiish.. I didn't thought of that. You really watch the videos of your fans covering your dances?”

 

“Of course. I'm impressed every time by seeing how good they are. And your dance crew is pretty good and your solos were amazing.”

 

“Kamsahamnida. You watched it all?”

 

“Yes.”

 

“Wow.. didn't expect that.. So my cover is blown now. It wasn't planned that you'll find out this fast.”

 

“Actually I don't want to tell the others, that's why I wanted to talk to you alone.”

 

“Are you sure?”

 

“Yes. These dorks have to find out for their selves.”, I chuckled and she went along with me,”But Seohyun.. she thinks she saw you before,too. Where could she have seen you?”

 

“Actually all of you should have seen me before.” She laughed.

 

“Huh?? Why??” I was confused now.

 

“Because all german Sones are making a book with photos and massages from us for your anniversary every year.”

 

“Ah of course I remember..the first were 2013 right? Seohyun received it personally.”

 

“Right.” She smiled.

 

“All of us nine read the whole book each time but Seohyun is the only one remembering the faces.” I chuckled.

 

“Never mind you must get a lot of stuff from fans. I'm glad you even read it.”, She smiled,” Now let's get back they must be waiting.”

 

We went down from the rooftop and headed back to the others who were chatting happily again. The atmosphere seems good again although I wasn't there. I'm the mood maker.

Instead I had a nice conversation with Lynn and I think I know her a bit better now.

As we reached the table again said Lynn sorry to the others for her behavior like she did with me. They had forgotten it already and we had fun and chatted about this and that for some more hours till it was already 11.30pm.

 

“So girls I think we should go now, it's late already.” Manager-oppa said.

 

“I have to sleep at 12 so hurry up.” Seohyun said panicked.

 

This maknae.. she always has to sleep at 12 and I'm not even tired then.

After manager-oppa paid for our food and drinks we went out of the restaurant. We were standing at the parking area to bid goodbye to the coach and manager oppa.

 

“So girls it was nice to meet you and I see you tomorrow at 6pm for training.”

 

“Yes.” All soccer girls said in unison.

 

“But oppa if they are training at 6pm we aren't able to watch because of song recording.” Yul whined.

 

“I know but we're starting earlier than 6pm so the ones who are ready by that time can go to their training, but no one goes alone.”

 

“Ok.. how long is your training?” Sooyoung asked.

 

“About 2 hours.” The coach answered.

 

“We can manage it, can we?”

 

“Of course!” All Soshis did the fighting pose.

 

“You act like it's their one and only day of training.” Manager-oppa laughed.

 

“No but it's their first training and we're curious about how well they play.” Taeyeon explained.

 

The coach then bid goodbye and manager-oppa also. We then get into our cars and finally drove home. Arriving at our dorm each one went to their rooms, a view of them drank too much wine, I think. I was with Seo-baby in our room now and she was already lying in her bed ready to sleep.

 

“Goodnight, unnie! Sleep well.” She turned off her light and turned around.

 

“One thing before you sleep. I know where you saw Lynn before now.”

 

“Really where and how do you know?”

 

“She told me. I was talking with her for a long time on the rooftop. You remember getting the photobooks for our anniversary from german Sones?”

 

“So you two were on the rooftop... Yes I remember. She was in there? So she really is our fan.”

 

“Yes she is, but don't tell the others.”

 

“Ne. Is there something more you want to talk about, unnie.”

 

“Ehm no, go to sleep, Seo.” I said and turned my light off,too.

 

Actually there is something I want to talk about, but I don't have the guts to do so..
