I was dressed in a long checkered dress, stylized with a layered skirt that opened up in the front, then toppped off with a colorful snapback. THe makeup artist swoops over, giving me a quick sweep of light makeup and pink lipstick, curling my hair into soft waves. ~sky.

❝ D-5 Chapter 05: Makeup? Check. ❤

“Sky! Wake up!” a not-so-gentle force was shaking my shoulders, forcing my eyes open. Qui was hovering just above me, still shaking me like a rag doll, causing my head to bounce around lazily, “Hurry up! We still have another day of recording ahead of us!” she continues to shout in my ear, her eyes widen with excitement. Wow, when is she ever NOT excited about anything? I shrug off my maknae friend, pushing her aside as I turn away from her, tugging my blanket over with me as I purposely covered my ears with my pillow. “Five more minutes.” I mumble sleepily, my eyes still drowsy with sleep.

Generally, Thursdays were my sleep-in days, and the fact that it was raining outside -my favorite weather condition- it only made me feel even more sleepy. “Well, your five minutes are up!” Qui continues to jab at my unprotected side, pulling my blankets off with an easy tug. “Come on, let’s go! Everyone is waiting for you!” I groan, and curl up in a ball, not wanted to leave my paradise. “Mumpft, that’s not fair. It hasn’t been five minutes yet!” I grumbled, attempting to muffle her loud voice with my pillow.

“I have chocolate cake!” I hear Emily’s voice rings out from the hallway. Dang, either my unnies were really desperate to get me out of bed, or they were really good at bribing me. But who can’t help the perfection called choco cake? Of course, I have to give in at some point. “If you don’t hurry up, Jihye is gonna eat the last piece!” this time it was Lily who was taunting me, “Hey!” Jihye’s voice follows not seconds after, “Don’t tell me what to do!” I could already imagine the two mock sissy-fighting with each other. But what was worse was the fact that my imagination was getting the best of me. Even with my eyes closed, I could already picture myself eating the scrumptious cake, the warm gooey taste of chocolate dancing along my tongue. And suddenly I felt completely awake as soon as my eyes pop open, “I’m awake!” I announce loudly, “Save the cake for me! I’m coming!” I shout, throwing on random articles of clothing as the sound of snickers come from the kitchen. No doubt the old trio, made up of Emily, Diamond, and Lily, were laughing together, I suspect. Powder in the hair dryer for you, I think sourly. Not if I get my chocolate cake before that. I counter, mentally fighting with myself.

A few minutes later we were in the van, heading towards our MV filming set and yet I was still empty-handed and my stomach was lacking my chocolate heaven. I grumbled incoherent words under my breath, scolding myself for being so naive, while Mihyun beside me was fuming about the absence of her phone, along with her stupidity to forgetting it back at the dorm. Lily, Jihye, and Diamond however seemed to be in their own world, chatting animatedly together while in the backseat, with Mihyun, Qui and me sat with dark clouds hanging over our heads.
