Author's Note: That quote above is the prompt. This is my entry to the Adversus contest. The theme of this contest is having to twist the personalities of your two main characters so that they are the opposite of how they normally are. So expect a different(?) kind of Eunhae here, I guess. Also please give me lots of support so I can be motivated enough to finish this on time because it has a deadline, and well, you all know how slow I can get. XD Idek why I did this, but the prompt called out to me. ==" Will try to finish my other fic first though before I focus on this. ^^ // edit: In the end, I can't make the deadline pmsl oh well.
The prompt is not mine, so you may see other stories with the same theme. But the plot & world-building are all completely mine.
Please do not plagiarize, translate and do not take out of this site without permission.

Foreword
“Love… is something that cannot be forced. It is an emotion that should come naturally, without any pressure and fear caused by society’s expectations. Love is associated with the heart. It is something that cannot be dictated. Not by the people. Not by your own mind. And most especially, not by a mere name that appeared on your body.”
He pauses, taking slow but sure strides in the middle of the court, his steeled eyes not leaving the gaze of his debate opponent.
“I believe that people are given the mind and the free will to choose what they wish to do with their lives,” he continues, his voice reeking of confidence. “And the government must not interfere with that. We must not use our power to oppress the people and force them to do something that is out of their own will. To put it simply, I disagree with the proposition because I do not deem it to be fair for us to implement a law where people may only marry their supposed soulmates – basically, the people whose names are written on their skin.”
There are a few hums of agreement from around him, although it does nothing for his already skyrocketing confidence. He is sure he is going to win this one.
There is just no way his argument can be proven invalid.
