I smiled a little at the comfortable warmth that I felt as I slowly feel myself waking up from the morning sunlight. After all, it has been quite a while since I felt this warmth ever since Chun Hua started schooling. We always slept together ever since we got here in Seoul, Korea. I inched closer to where that warmth is and slowly inhaled the smell. Hm. It's awfully familiar to me. It's not Chun Hua’s but...this smell reminded me of the time when I was in High School, Luhan was only a year ahead of me thus he gave me all the books that I would need from school. When I received the books, they always smelled like him. As I breathed the scent again, deeply this time, I couldn’t help but remember him all the time. I thought I already forgot this scent all these years... but I guess not. This is the first time I remembered his scent in my sleep. I felt someone’s arm wrap around my waist tighter resulting to me being closer as my chest touched the other. It was practically flat but firm. There was no softness in it that would always belong to a girl. I frowned. This is not Chun Hua...

I slowly opened my eyes, fully awake now, and came face to face with Luhan, our faces only inches apart. I gasped and shut my mouth immediately when I saw him move his head a little closer to me, my heart suddenly beating erratically fast seeing him this close to me, inside his embrace.

He is still asleep... I convinced myself trying to slow the beating of my heart, afraid that he might be feeling it as well. He is still asleep, I once again said to myself internally. I feel my heart slowly calming down after a while and I sighed in content. It didn’t go back to normal but at least I am sure that he wouldn’t be able to feel it much now. I tried to distance myself away from him even a little but failed when he just pulled me closer each time. I sighed in defeat and just looked at him. I couldn’t help but stare at his face. It’s so peaceful. He sleeps like an angel.

“Xin...” He murmured, still in closed eyes.

I blushed furiously at the thought of him dreaming about me but I still couldn’t bring myself to not watch him sleep nor to push him away from me.

“Why are you staring at me...?” He continued in his low, sleepy voice.

I gasped and looked at him closely in the eyes; there I found out that it was actually open a little. “I-idiot.” I slapped him by the arm. “I was not staring. I just needed my eyes to keep open because I'm still sleepy.” I reasoned out as I turned to face my way away from him. His arm that was wrapped around my waist loosened a little but didn’t let go.

“Uhuh.” He nodded, voice turning husky as I felt his head move closer to my hair.

“Anyway...” I muttered, still helplessly blushing but thank God, he can't see me. “Let go of me.” I commanded with a stern voice that I could only muster. “And quit smelling my hair.” I added.

He groaned. “Still sleepy here.”

“Don't care here.” I countered, moving my way out of the bed. “I have to go to work anyways.”

“What?” He asked stupidly, his arms grazed through my body, slowly releasing me from his hold. “Why? You're not feeling well, right?”

I turned to look at him and gave him a frown. “I'm perfectly fine. Besides, I got to sleep now... thanks to you.” I smiled a little while he just stared blankly at me.

“Ah.” He responded after a while.

I rolled my eyes, smirking. “Yeah well... thankful as I am of you, you need to get out of my room.” I stated, walking towards him, grabbing his left wrist to pull him up from the bed.

“Why?” he made no effort to get up.

“None of your business.”

“Fine.” He sighed, standing up from the bed as I released his wrist. I smiled at how successful I was of getting him out. With that thought in mind, I walked my way to the bathroom intending to get a shower to prepare myself for work when he followed me inside.

“Yah!” I nearly shouted out loud, my heart back to beating fast. This really got to stop. I told myself.

“I'm just going to pee~!” He reasoned out and I shook my head in frustration, getting out of the bathroom and closing the door behind me. Luhan can be such a pain at times. There are so many bathrooms in this pad, why did he have to go inside when I was going to take a bath?

Because it is the nearest one, you idiot. A part of myself told me.

I snarled at myself, unconsciously.

“What are you snarling at?” He asked that question as he went out the bathroom. “Are you mad?”

“No.” I answered curtly but in an honest way. I walked my way to him and got to his back and pushed him from it until he is out of the door and locked it immediately.

I sighed, leaning on the door in between Luhan and me and soon made my way to the bathroom to get ready.

As soon as I was done, I got out of my bedroom, fixing my collar on the way in one hand while the other was occupied with all the stuffs that I would need to bring.

“I swear you are one of the fastest people I know that would shower in just 10 minutes.”

I looked up to see Luhan sitting on a nearby sofa.

I smirked. “Yeah. I get that a lot.” I muttered, still trying to fix my goddamn collar. I was too distracted about fixing my collar that the hairs on my body stood up when I heard him whisper behind me, “Let me.” He said, his fingertips already on the back of my collar.

I gasped at the feeling of his hands on my neck. Don't take it the wrong way, but I am really ticklish. I tickle everywhere. As he fixed the back of my collar, I couldn’t help but flinch at his touch.

“Done.”

I sighed in relief internally and got away from his reach. “I- I should go...” I said. “I'm going to be late.”

“What? But it's still 6 am.”

“Ah?” I asked confused and lifted my wrist to look at my watch, and true enough it's 6 am. I wanted to punch myself there and then.

“I cooked ramen~.”

I looked up to him and he looked like a child hoping to get patted on the head for a job well done.

I giggled and did exactly that. “Good job. But I don’t feel like eating.”

He frowned at me for I don’t know which reasons. “What is with you girls and eating?” He asked.

I laughed walking my way out of him and just strolled my way to the kitchen to get a glass of water.

I feel his arm hook around my neck as I drank the contents and I nearly choked on the water but didn’t really have time to do so when he half-dragged me to the table, two bowls of ramen waiting for us. “No more objections.” He said to me by my ear.

I shrugged at him, making his arm around my shoulders go up as well, saying nothing as we headed to the table. I tried my best to be chill about it, but I am not sure if I did so, successfully. I sat on the left while he is on the other side and stared at the noodles before me.

“Wow. I'm really honoured to taste your famous ramen.” I said sarcastically.

“Haha. Well you are one lucky girl you know.” He shot back.

I smiled at him and then I thought that I was getting less awkward with guys but there was this silence occurring as of the moment, and I am so disappointed with myself because I don’t really know what to do.

“So...” I heard Luhan say as I just fiddled with a noodle with my chopsticks. “Did you dream about something last night?”

I coughed from my own saliva.

“What?” He asked innocently when I shot a look at him. “It's a good start of a conversation.”

I giggled. He is really starting to rub on me. I nodded for both reasons. “Yeah... I guess I did.” I answered him.

His eyes widened. “Really? What was it?”

I raised one eyebrow at him. “Curious much?”

“Not really...” he murmured and immediately concentrated on his food.

I just stared at him for a while as he fiddled with it and decided to answer him. “I thought it was only a dream actually, about smelling the familiar scent that I always get from you.”

“What?” He asked, baffled. “My smell?” he smelled his shirt. “What do I smell like?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know actually. I thought you smelled like old books.” I teased and I got a frown from him. I laughed at his reaction.

“That is not funny~!” He tensed. “What guy would like to be smelled like the old books coming from a girl?”

I laughed nonetheless. “I just thought about it~” I told him. “Then I noticed that the books were the one that adopted your smell.”

He tilted his head curiously as a silent question.

“Remember in High School?” I asked and when I got a nod, I continued. “You used to give me the books from school and they all smelled like you. It's just that, as time passed by, they adapted to mine as well, switching your smell to mine.”

“Hmmm...” He hummed, nodding his head. “But you know...” he said after a while. “There is a saying that the more you hang out with the person, the more you would smell like him.”

I chuckled. “So what are you saying?”

He shrugged and got back to eating the noodles.

I should’ve been frustrated with what he just did, but actually I am not. I am just happy as of now that I feel like he is back, a little. My Luhan is coming back to me...

Idiot. He is NOT your Luhan. I scolded myself.

After breakfast, we soon made our way out, the two of us walking side by side. This is also one moment that I am utmost happy about. Even though I understand why Luhan would always walk in front of me and act like he is alone, a really selfish part of me wants everybody to know that I know this Luhan, the Luhan that they all know about from EXO.

But isn’t he just forced to be here with you because he felt he is obligated?  Another part of me reminded me this sad truth, and as much as I wanted to be happy, stay happy, I just can't.

“You know...” I started to talk in a whisper with my head down, just staring on the floor as we walked the street. “I already know my way...”

He was silent at first, I never did want to look up to him, but then, curiosity overtook it and when I started to raise my head, he murmured. “I know...”

This surprised me. I expected him to challenge or test me once again if I know my way to my workplace or not... but...

“I am not obligated or anything...” He continued, breaking my reverie. “But I just want to do this.”

There were butterflies in my stomach, my cheeks flamed, my heart raced like a dozen of running horses and I feel like fainting from his words. I am surprised that I hadn’t lost my way already.

“Welp... see you later.” He said, patting my head and headed off.

I watched him walk away until he is gone. My feelings still wouldn’t stay calm because of what he just did to me. I walked inside the company with the biggest smile I had ever shown that my cheeks hurt. But I don’t care... I am happy.
