Minho and Yuri looked up at Seoul’s night view.

They were at the rooftop of their company’s building.

One of their hands intertwined, the other holding their hot chocolate.

 

It was their 3rd year anniversary.

 

Yuri rested her head on his shoulder.

Minho simply smiled.

 

These are the moments he treasured the most.

 

“How long do you think we’ll last?” she asked.

Minho kept his gaze in the view.

“As long as you want to be me, we’ll be together.” he answered.

 

Yuri puts her cup down and plays with Minho’s fingers.

“What if I say forever?”

“Then we’ll be together forever.”

 

“What if you get tired of me?” Yuri asked shyly.

“I won’t.”

“You never know.” she sighed deeply.

“I’ll probably gain weight like those ajummas we see in the streets.” 

 

“It doesn’t matter.” Minho assured her.

“I didn’t like you for your physical appearance in the first place.” he smiled at her.

 

 

There was silence.

 

 

“Wae? What if my belly starts poking out of shirt? Would you break up with me then?” 

Minho asked worriedly.

“Hmm…” Yuri pretended to think.

“YAH!” 

Yuri chuckled. “Of course I wouldn’t.”

 

 

They stayed silent for a while and looked at the scenery again.

 

 

“In a few years, we’ll both become irrelevant in the music industry.” Yuri started mumbling.

Minho stayed quiet. Yuri usually thinks out loud. 

And when she does, that’s when he knows her true emotions.

“Maybe then we can both settle down together. Have a family.” she went on.

 

Minho started picturing the idea in his head.

 

Suddenly Yuri looked at him again.

“What if we both start getting tired of each other?” she asked with worried eyes.

Minho pinched her cheeks.

 

“Whenever we feel like we’re growing apart, just return here.” Minho her hair.

“Close your eyes.” he whispered in her ears.

 

Yuri obeyed him as he continued her hair.

“Remember the first time we met?” he whispered softly.

 

 

 

 

Yuri was sobbing away in the corner of the rooftop.

“Are you ok?” he asked.

Yuri ignored the young man.

 

“It’s ok. You can cry it all out. Just don’t mind me here.” 

He spoke calmly and slowly started walking away.

 

Yuri looked up. “Wait…”

Minho turned back.

 

He was taken back.

Even though her nose and eyes were red from the crying, she still looked gorgeous.

“I-I’m Yuri.” she introduced herself.

“I’m Minho, Choi Minho.” he smiled.

 

“Are you ok?” he carefully asked.

Yuri wiped away her tears, “It’s just that training is tough.”

Minho laughed, “Tell me about it.”

 

And just like that, they became the best of friends.

 

 

 

 

“Of course I remember! You saw me in my worst and vulnerable state.” she smiled.

“You were still gorgeous.” he smiled looking at Yuri whose eyes were still shut.

 

“I don’t know if it was love at first sight, but I definitely felt something then.” he spoke once again.

Yuri rested her head with her eyes still closed on his chest.

 

“When did you start falling for me?” he asked.

Yuri thought back.

 

 

 

 

“YAH! Get away from her!” Minho yelled.

The girls from Yuri’s school were bullying her because she was about to debut.

 

Yuri remained curled up in a ball.

“NUGU-YAH?!” The girls asked.

Minho stayed silent as he carefully grabbed Yuri’s hands and took her away from them.

 

They were back where the first met, the company’s rooftop.

“Stay still.” Minho blew on Yuri’s cut before sanitising it and placing a bandaid on it.

 

Yuri stared at him.

 

 

 

 

 

“It was during that time, when I saw you in a different light.” she explained.

Minho smiled.

“What about you? When did you start falling for me?” she asked curiously.

“Naega?” Minho kissed her forehead. “When I first saw you.”

 

Yuri laughed and playfully hit his chest with her eyes still closed.

“Jinja!” Minho defended himself.

 

 

They remained silent.

 

 

Minho cupped Yuri’s face and gave her a pationate kiss.

Yuri opened her eyes after the parted.

 

“Just like now. Whenever you feel like we’re drifting apart, just go back here and remember why and how you fell in love with me.” Minho smiled.

Yuri nodded. “What about you? Will you come back here?”

 

“Yes, but for a different reason.”

 

Yuri pouted.

 

“One, is to find you. Because I know that there will be times when we argue, and when I come back here, I will remind you how much I love you.” 

Yuri stared at him.

 

 

“Two, I wouldn’t need to recall back those memories because I won’t ever get tired of you.”

Yuri still stared.

“From the day we met until today, I fall in love with you everyday. I fall in love all over again, as if I’ve never fallen before.” he caressed her cheeks.

 

“So always comeback here. Because this is where we found love. Right in this rooftop. It may sound weird but that’s just how love came to us.”

 

Yuri nodded and hugged him as tight as she can.

 

“I love you so much Minho.”

“Nado Yuri-ah, nado saranghae.”
