B.A.B.Y
B.A.P Song DrabblesSong: B.A.B.Y [english translation]
Pairing: Jongup/You
When I first saw you, I didn’t fall for you
When I saw you for the second time, your smile was quite pretty
Now that I’ve seen you for the third time, my heart beats a bit
When I saw you for the fourth time, I was definite that it was you, baby
Jongup's always been a thoughtful sort of guy when it came to love.
While most guys his age went off jumping the prettiest girl they could that showed them attention, he was much more methodical—he wanted to make sure that his relationships were meaningful and long-lived.
So when he steps onto a subway bus and sees your face for the first time, just one among the many other people who needed to get somewhere that day, he doesn't think much of it.
He nods his head along to the Chris Brown song he's listening to, absently fiddling with the mask he wore as a disguise as the subway car speeds along.
Fifteen minutes later, he gets off the bus, straightening his jacket as he heads to the record store to buy a gift for Yongguk, whose birthday was coming up soon.
Suddenly, he feels something jostle his arm, and he looks down to see a girl standing slightly beside him.
"Excuse me," he hears, and the face he sees flickers slight recognition in his mind.
You have a cute smile, he decides, as you go on your way.
Jongup forgets about the stranger on the subway for the next few weeks, being caught up in practices and photoshoots and recordings, but when he sees you passing by the company building one afternoon, his heart beats a little faster.
"Has our little Jonguppie got a crush?" Himchan teases, and Jongup's cheeks flush crimson as he slaps a hand flat on the older's stomach.
"Shut up, hyung," he mutters, burying his face into the collar of his hoodie.
Somehow, he finds that he's unable to get the image of you out of his mind.
Before he knows it, it's time for B.A.P to hold their performance for their 2nd Baby Day. They've all been given a bunch of roses to hand out to fans, and Jongup thinks it's cheesy as hell (but then again, everyone likes a little cheese sometimes), but he goes along with it anyways, ambling along, handing out roses every few steps.
He doesn't have a particularly methodology to it, and he wishes he could hand them out to all their fans, but before he realizes it, he's down to his last rose.
His eyes flick back and forth as he tries to figure out who to give it to—it's the last one, after all, and he's suddenly reminded of that one American show that Youngjae was secretly fond of watching when he thought no one was paying attention.
Something familiar catches his eye, and he turns, vaguely confused, only to find you standing in the crowd, a few rows back.
Flustered, Jongup throws the rose in your direction, hoping that it managed to make its way to you before he jogs over to Manager Kang.
"Can you pull her aside later?" Jongup whispers, and Manager Kang laughs as he pats the boy on the back.
"We'll see."
Jongup resists the urge to look back and see you, and he's not sure if his accelerated heartbeat is due to the concert rush or because of you.
But if there's one thing he knows for sure, it's that he definitely wants to see you again.
happy birthday mjup o u o
