Yongguk sighs, stirring his ramyun forlornly in the pot on the table in front of him—he'd been too lazy to pour it into another bowl when he'd made it, not that it really made any difference now, since it had long gone cold and mushy.

He'd thought he was ready.

Thought he was ready to see Himchan again, even if it was just a glance, to see Himchan with him, the one who'd taken his love away from him.

Sighing heavily, Yongguk drops his chopsticks into the pot and leans back, eyes closed.

He'd thought he'd be okay with it as long as Himchan was happy.

Thought as long as that was what he truly wanted, he'd be able to let Himchan go, thought they'd be able to laugh about it later, thought it would be easy to let go of him..

But no one had ever told Yongguk how it felt—how much it ing hurt to watch the one you love with someone who wasn't you.

And he regrets it.

He regrets everything.

"Jung Daehyun," he growls, his expression remaining deceptively impassive as the snarl rips out of his throat to the empty room, "I hope you're happy."

Yongguk lets out another heavy sigh, eyes sliding open just a crack, vision drifting to the photo of himself and Himchan, still resting next to his record player.

He hasn't touched it since Himchan had told him goodbye.

"Because I'm not."

this was inspired by the ending part of the song where himchan and daehyun sing together, and yongguk echoes their line... aha ^^;;
