A prequel of Taembelina. This story happened before Jonghyun left Key for a real woman.

    Long time ago in Seoul Empire, there lived a poor man who kept pretending to be a woman, his name was Key and he's living with his only live-in partner named Jjong. Jonghyun was his real name, Kim Jonghyun. Those two were quite poor and Key has no job let alone Jjong.

One day, the wanna-be woman, Key found that they have nothing left to eat and money to buy food and drinks and even some colored skinny jeans for their small performance in Seoul's Mini Entertainment Club. So Key told Jonghyun, who was crawling his way from their bedroom because of starvation to take their cow to SM Market Merchandise and sell it.

"Yeobo, be sure to make a good price for it, okay?" Key said as he threw some chicken feeds to his chickens namely Tofu, Dubu, Ondubu, Leader and their mother Jinki.

Jjong was about to say 'no' but his stomach growled so he end up going to the field to fetch the cow. He tied the rope around the cow's neck and the two buddies started walking down the road towards SM Market Merchandise.

On his way towards the town Jjong took noticed that his skinny jeans was not gold anymore but pale yellow and it was torn here and there. It's not proper to perform with that kind of clothing so he began dragging the cow a little faster, he must sell it for a good price in order to buy some new skinny jeans for his singing performances. While in a hurry to reach his destination he didn't notice that there's a young boy in his way, Jonghyun was looking upwards with unknown reason and with that he knock the boy down.

"Aaaah!" cried the poor boy.

Jjong helped the boy up and he started apologizing. The boy wiped his tears and he introduced himself as Taemin. Taemin justlike Jjong has a worn out skinny jeans and he looked like a street child with a messy hair and dark circles under his eyes. His shirt was full of dirt due to the unexpected knock from Jonghyun's cow.

Taemin eyed the cow intently; he hated the cow for knocking him down so he began talking to Jjong about the grass-eating mammal.

"Hyung, can I call you hyung?" Taemin began as he walked around the two, "That's a nice cow" He lied, he hated the cow, remember?

"Sure, call me that every time we see each other" Jjong answered, "And yes, this is a nice cow, very healthy. Actually, I'm off to SM Market Merchandise to sell it".

Upon hearing that, Taemin decided to buy the cow for himself, the cow must pay. He wanted to buy it and if he bought it, he would slaughter the cow with no mercy.

"Hyung, I'll buy it"

But Jjong refused seeing that Taemin was just a young boy and he look like a street child and besides he would go first in SM Market and get the best price he could.

"Hyung, I'll give you a good price for it" Taemin bargained as he took the payment inside his worn out skinny jeans.

"You have money?" Jjong raised his brow, "Okay, how much?"

"Seven magic beans" Taemin spread his palms so Jonghyun could see the magic beans.

Jjong laughed. Children these days, they don't know how to stop pretending. A magic beans? No, seven magic beans? Right. He regained his self from laughing and rejected Taemin for his offer.

"No way" Jonghyun started walking "Go home Taemin-ah and drink some milk after you reach your house, you really need it"

Taemin frowned, he must get that cow and kill it and also he should get rid of the magic beans that some guy bargained to him for a goat just a while ago.

A while ago...

Taemin was also heading to SM Market Merchandise to sell his goat that his mother asked him to sell. But on the road he met a guy that proclaimed himself as Minho. Minho used his Flaming Charisma to bargain the magic beans for a goat.

"Seven magic beans" Minho stated and shoots his flaming charisma to Taemin. Taemin was so overwhelmed and without second thought he sold his precious goat to Minho.

"Okay..." Taemin agreed dreamily, still in bliss because of the charisma.

"Wise choice" Minho said, "And good luck"

Taemin stared at the magic beans, 'Hoo~~~ magic~~~' he thought, he looked up for Minho but Minho was nowhere to be found. Taemin blinked and stared at the beans again, the charisma subsided after Minho was gone.

"Aaaaah!!!" He screamed, "I've been fooled!!! There's no such thing as magic beans!"

And Taemin went off, he put the beans inside his pocket, his mother will surely kick him off for trading the goat for a beans. Now, it was his turn to fool someone else.

...

"I'll give you the beans for the cow and life will be different for you" Taemin said, he has no idea what he was talking about actually, he just said what the guy Minho told him.

"I'm sorry Taemin-ah, but my wife will be very unhappy if I went home with a handful of beans. I must sell the cow first in the market" Jjong explained.

"No one will buy your cow hyung" Taemin said out of nowhere, "But go if you think you’ll get a better price in the market. I'll just wait for you here..."

And Taemin did what he has said, he really wanted to get the cow and be separated to the magic beans. Jjong reached the market. SM Market Merchandise was very busy and crowded that time and so Jjong stood in the middle shouting that his cow was for sale yet nobody looked at him or his cow. The people out there were busy buying cds and dvds of their idols and they didn't even spare Jjong a glance.

"Look at him" whispered by some random girl, "He was selling a cow in the middle of the grocery store"

"Yeah, and look!" Added by her friend, "He's heading inside the dvd store to sell, is he crazy?"

Indeed, Jonghyun was force to sell his cow inside the grocery store and when nobody took interest he went to the dvd store and ask people to buy his cow but to no avail nobody buy it.

At the end of the day everyone started packing up so Jjong dragged his cow from the market. On the way, Jonghyun saw Taemin waiting for him.

"Hyung, see?" Taemin said, "You still have the cow and I still have the magic beans"

Jjong stopped and thought if the beans were magic they may well change things. “Okay, I will take all the beans"

Taemin beamed and trade the magic beans to Jjong for the cow. Jonghyun reached home and he gave the magic beans to Key.

"Beans!!!" Key shouted and smacked Jjong's head, "You trade the cow for beans?! Idiot!"

"Magic beans yeobo!" Jjong countered, massaging his head. "Magic beans!"

"Magic? You!!!" Key smacked his head for the second time, "How could we buy our colored skinny jeans with the use of the stupid magic beans? Let alone feed us! How stupid Jjong, you're useless!"

Key exploded and threw the beans out of the window. They went to bed without having anything or doing anything.

Morning came and when Jjong woke up, he saw a very strange thing. A huge green trunk was growing pass the window with enormous leaves. His eyes went wide and he immediately called Key.

"It's the beans that you threw last night yeobo!" Jonghyun exclaimed, "Let’s go outside"

And the two went out, they both looked up and the beanstalk served to be growing right into the 'sky', disappearing into the 'clouds'.

"I'm going to climb it!" Jjong declared.

"Jjong, no! You don't know where it goes!" Key said concerned.

"I'll find out then" Jjong said and he went climbing, "See you later Key!"

Jjong climbed so high that he went through the white clouds and he started to see a castle. He decided to go in there. He stood infront of the large gate and he pulled the bell, a large woman came out of the gate.

"How did you reach here?" asked the woman, "I'm Hyegun and you are?"

"I'm Jjong and I came here with the use of the beanstalk" Jjong said.

"Mo? A beanstalk?" Hyegun inquired, "Alright, come in before my husband arrives"

Jjong was taken into the kitchen. The table and chair were like mountains to him.

"Have some breakfast you must be hungry," Hyegun said and offered Jjong a big plate full of food. Without second thought Jjong ate it, he’s really hungry.

Loud steps could be heard suddenly, "That's my husband, Minwoo" Hyegun whispered, "You must hide or he will eat you". Jjong went behind the gate instantly afraid that the giant might eat him upon seeing him.

"Fee! Fo! Fi! Hum! I smell the blood of a Korean man! Be alive or be dead, I'll grind his bones to make my bread!" Minwoo, the giant shouted as he came into the kitchen.

"You just are imagining things..." lied his giant wife, Hyegun wanted Jjong to be safe, "There is no Korean man here. You're just hungry; your breakfast is on the table."

Jjong watched the giant as he ate his breakfast and very often Minwoo would stop and sniff and then carry on eating. When he was full, he called his wife.

"Hyegun-ah, bring Onew here!"

'Onew?' Thought Jonghyun and continued to watch the giant. Hyegun went to get what Minwoo wanted. She came back with a tiny thing on her hand, Jjong peered his eyes. She was carrying a chicken. 'Ah... So, Onew is a chicken'

The chicken was tiny with chinky eyes. Hyegun put Onew on the table in front of Minwoo.

"Lay golden Onew" said the giant Minwoo. Onew began to lay eggs and they were golden eggs. Jjong was looking at all the things from his hiding place. Upon seeing the golden eggs, Jjong's eyes widened and there's one thing on his mind. Money.

Minwoo, the giant soon began to snore and was fast asleep; he was quite tired of watching how Onew laid his eggs. And yes Onew could lay golden eggs eventhough he's a male, it's magic, don't bother to ask.

After checking that Minwoo is in deep slumber, Jjong jumped and climbed the table. He silently crept past the giant without Minwoo smelling him and then Jjong picked up Onew with great care, the thought of money still lingered in his mind. Onew didn't refuse to go with Jjong, he was quite tired already of laying eggs every time Minwoo ordered him to.

Jonghyun ran fast out of the castle with Onew in his arms and then down through the beanstalk. Without his knowledge, Hyegun was there silently watching how he took Onew away from Minwoo yet she didn't do anything but watch.

After climbing down, Key was so relieved to see Jonghyun again, alive. Jjong begged Onew to lay some eggs but at first Onew refused, he was tired of laying yet Key threatened that he would kill, unskinned and eventually cook Onew and make him a fried chicken. And with that Onew was forced to lay golden eggs for the sake of his precious chicken life.

Jjong and his live-in partner, Key became rich. They could buy a lot of foods and unlimited stock of colored skinny jeans but Jjong began to get bored after a while despite the fact that all the luxury in life is in his hand. After travelling from Japan and China, Jonghyun decided to climb the beanstalk again.

"Are you crazy Jjong?" Key asked, "We have everything we wanted!"

"I want to see what else is up there" Jjong answered and he climbed the beanstalk again. This time when he reached the castle, he hid himself in the drawer. After a while he heard loud footsteps. It was Minwoo with his wife.

"Fee! Fo! Fi! Hum! I smell the blood of a Korean man and this time I will find him!" Minwoo declared.

"I'll help you" Hyegun offered, "The naughty boy took your favorite chicken, Onew."

They looked high and low but they could not find Jjong. 2011 Hide and Seek World Champion.

"Don't be upset yeobo" said Minwoo's wife, "eat your dinner and have some rest to regain your strength, wanna drink some Banana Milk?”

Minwoo finished his dinner and called Hyegun again, "Bring my harp! It can sing me to sleep.”

Hyegun brought the harp and the giant the string, the harp began to sing by itself.

"Ireol ttaereul pomyeon na origineun hangabwa nun ape dugodo ojji hal jul molla~~~"

Minwoo smiled from ear to ear and yawned and soon he went to sleep. As soon as Minwoo was fast asleep, Jjong jumped out of the drawer and grabbed the harp as he had not seen such a beautiful thing before. Money?

"Master! Master!", shouted the harp "Help me!".

Jack started running but Minwoo woke due to his harp spontaneous shouting for help. He got up and ran after Jjong. Jonghyun ran as fast as he could and came to the beanstalk, he climbed down with great speed; his heart was beating faster and faster. Fear was upon him, if Minwoo could catch him, Jjong would be surely dead.

“Key!!! Give me the axe!!!" Jjong exclaimed. Key took one look up and screamed, he saw a giant behind Jjong and after screaming like a fangirl, he ran to fetch the axe.

When Jack was on the ground, Key took the harp and handed him the axe.

Whack! Whack! Whack! Whack?

"Fee, Fo, Fi, Hum", bellowed the giant, suddenly the whole thing began to fall over. The beanstalk landed with a great impact that it made a huge hole. Minwoo stumbled down the hole and never to be seen again.

Jjong and his live-in partner lived happily with Onew, who kept laying and the singing harp.

After this, Jjong wanted to have a baby but Key couldn't make any so Jjong left him for a real woman. Thus, Key was now all alone, after trading some cds and a poster to Jung Juri, the old witch gave Key, Taembelina.

Onew is still the same chicken who helped Taembelina and the one who laid golden eggs in Jjong and the Beanstalk. Gaaah!!!
